Which makes the iTunes shut down situation really interesting to see how it's going to shake out.
It's already happened with the Kindle, where the license to distribute a title expired and everyone that had "purchased" a "copy" found that it had been removed from.their devices without their knowlage.
If I'm not mistaken, this incident was one of the first instances that brought "ownership" or media into the spotlight.
Only briefly though, because the vast majority of consumers are credulous, foolish and fickle idiots with the memory of a fucking goldfish that will be surprised the next time it happens.

Good concept, but it's not ready for prime time. The state of the infrastructure required makes this iffy at best.
Just remember, off comments defending always on technology at the last next gen iteration got people fired.

Second, I do. The rah, rah, rah, sis boom bah of support the troops isn't that different from what the majority do when pride month comes around... or any other psuedo-activisim stance for that matter.
It's all patriotism and flag waving but when the cards are down and it's really needed, where's the support? Just like the fart in the wind it's worth, it's gone. I'm sorry, but getting clapped at in an airport isn't "support."
Support of the troops starts at the ballot box.

No. I beg to differ.
Apple's constant lies about their "innovation" and their two-faced stance on idea theft was extreme, but $1000 for a stand that should come with the monitor is beyond the pale.

The point is that now that's legal, corporations can "support" it exploitatively purely for marketing without fear of shareholder repercussions.
It just happens that this is only the first or second pride month since.

Just like how everyone insists that the tablet computer was stolen from Apple dispite Gates debuting the tablet PC in 2000 at the same confrence the first XBox was announced at.
Or how many support Job's claim Android was stolen from Apple dispite it's development starting a full 18 months before ios and iPhone developent started.
Or how the iPone has the best display, dispite Samsung manufacturing the display for them and implementing those diplays in their own phones first.
Or how the iPhone is just simply the best period, even though deployment and rollout of smart phone feature concepts in ios lags 2 years behind Android.

I even worked out the programming code for the searchlight arc parameters because no one had yet and contributed that to a TibSun modding community.
