I am just a very thin layer of charming with some funny sprinkles wrapped around a huge creamy center of raging arrogant a-hole.

Europe mocking the US about not using metric? Fine... but England? Not going to take it seriously untill they get with the program and stop using a bastardized hybrid of Imperial, Metric and units that predate Imperial, like "stone."

Correlation isn't causation and that's a book published for profit, not a science paper in a peer reviewed scientific journal.
Even if it was, it's the sort of subject that is reserched observationally and observational studies are problematic

Pretty sure Violet is a reference to a "shrinking violet," a very shy and timid person.

Not necessarily... he's playing Johnny Silver hand, a key charecter in Night City in Cyberpunk. He was missing and presumed dead after the Arasaka headquarters was nuked.
He might only be just a digital ghost that only the player can see and hear... but then again, Johnny was also a deck runner and he might have been able to transmit himself into the 'net and this is his full mind.
OR, this just might be Johnny's triumphant return.

That last bit there in your first bit @atreinero, is the key: "We are all adults..." and human too.
That said, were I to attend a course relating to Astronomy and/or Physics taught by a professor who is published in the literature, made a signifigant discovery or even is a Nobel Lauriate... rest asured I would conduct myself to a much higher standard.

I want you to think long an hard about that.
About flying cars.
Do you trust other drivers? What percentage of them?
A majority... or a minority of other drivers that you think you can trust to operate their vehicles within the laws of the road and local customs.
To merge properly, to change lanes correctly.
To drive the apropriate speed for the road and the lane they are in.
Now, imagine the average driver and remember that half of them are stupoder than that.
And you want to give them flying cars?
No fucking thank you.

“He always said, ‘Keep my name alive. Let them know who I am.’ So he would be thrilled by all of this, definitely,”
