Fuel isn't free, o2 masks and bottles aren't free, latex gloves aren't free, the extra mileage on the rigs costs money to repair. You get the idea. An ambulance should be used for emergencies but it is abused by so many people that I can see why they would start charging for it. Some nights 5 out of 6 calls are unnecessary and it is frustrating to be transporting someone who stubbed their toe and have a real emergency happen.

We should also be mad at the reason this became necessary. Waayyy too many people look at the ambulance as a free ride to the hospital, or thought it would get them in faster, or thought it would look good on an insurance report. We have transported for the silliest reasons. We had a 17 year old kid who "kinda felt funny earlier", mom and dad decided it would be a good idea to call the ambulance out...mind you there were 3 cars and 4 able bodied adults at the house. We are not allowed to deny transport by law, kid wanted a neato ride in the rig so off we went. Wasting time, money, and resources. Then you have the addicts who sit down on the sidewalk and yell about back pain thinking they will score some opiates. People meet us at the door with bags packed, ready for their free ride. Dude in the minor fender bender starts howling about his neck as soon as we arrive.
This happens so often that we know certain addresses and names by heart.

True, but every time I see a dog I assume they want to play. I know I always want to play with pups.

You can love your country and still be proud of your southern heritage. I am from Long Island but lived in southern Georgia for a bit (Tift county) and many of the folks down there have a sense of pride for their home that is rarely seen up here. Here in New York we spend a lot of time belittling and pointing judgemental fingers at the people living south of the Mason-Dixon line but I have never experienced a more open and welcoming attitude than when I lived there. I know the racism issue will be screamed loudly but I know just as many racists here in NY (particularly in Brooklyn) as I did in Ga.
But hey, they talk funny so they must be stupid right?

Tool always has great videos. I like when videos are imaginative and open to interpretation.

That wire isn't working 6 comments

That is a central office for the telephone company. Each one of those wires is a dial tone. And it's not that hard to trace out wires in that, it's mostly tugging one end and feeling for movement.

Yes exactly. I am overweight and really self conscious about how I look. I was on the elliptical machine trying my best to be invisible and I noticed a small group of dudes looking at me and chuckling. One had his phone out seemingly trying to snap a stealthy picture of me. So I got off the machine and left the gym, never went back.

I'm sorry, that website is an anti-pit group so I can't believe any statistics they say. We all know you can twist statistics around to make whatever point you want. I tend to think the overrepresentation of pitbull attacks may be lumping any midsize dog as a pitbull. They are the latest "demon" dog so they are given too much credit for attacks. When I was a kid the Doberman was the evil dog, people knew for a fact that they all would attack and maul their owners and everyone around them. They were sure about physiological traits that guaranteed violence (a popular one was that the skull was too small for the brain).
The word pitbull is a buzzword and a catchall for mutts and bad dogs. I'm pretty sure no newspaper will report on a Straffodshire Terrier attack but call it a pitbull and now you have a story.
Guest, I am truly sorry for your loss but I can't believe that your tragedy happened simply because of the breed.

I have noticed things like that too in the gym. Only they were giggling at the fatty sweating too much on the equipment. I'm surprised I haven't seen a picture of myself yet on a website.

They did that upside down because the blood wouldn't drain from the head so the person lived and suffered even longer. Or so I've heard.

It could also be for notoriety. Some of these kids are marginalized and feel left out of society. You shoot up a school, everybody knows him. everybody remembers him. They will never forget him again.
