I only get uncomfortable when I drive my drunk gay friend home and he leans in for a kiss.
I'm flattered and all but a thank you will suffice.

Us being made in Gods image is a frightening thought.

Any god that doesn't allow dogs in heaven is not a god I'd want to follow.

It's not dedication. It's a cold heart and utter selfishness. Dedication would imply some kind of effort was put in, this sounds like it was completely convenient for him/her to just let the other person dote on them.

Bummer if that's all you took from that.
I think the spirit of the post is that he accomplished all those things in spite of running away at such a young age.

Good tips amadog19.
Often times a siezure won't even be the grand-mal shaking about type, they can be kinda like a shutdown where the person stops and becomes unresponsive. I've heard that they can sometimes feel them coming on and will make themselves safe before it takes place.

Also keep in mind that after a siezure they will be postictal.
Basically they will be confused for a short time and not know what is going on. It usually goes away after a few minutes. It is the brain "rebooting".

Exactly, that's why I said some of the shallow girls. I never really talk to anyone but I have been laughed at and mocked for trying to get past a group of girls to go to the restroom. I've heard the comments like imagine waking up next to that. People can be real dicks but whatever. I'm a decent man and it's their loss.

To some of the more shallow girls out there we are indeed considered creepy.

Yeah, that's true. I don't hold grudges anymore about girls not being into me. I'm not what can be considered handsome and it is just human nature to prefer an attractive mate.

The Mighty Boosh. It's from England, it was a very trippy comedy show. There are clips of it on youtube, I recommend the "Eels" episode.

It's never been "affordable" 43 comments

Fuel isn't free, o2 masks and bottles aren't free, latex gloves aren't free, the extra mileage on the rigs costs money to repair. You get the idea. An ambulance should be used for emergencies but it is abused by so many people that I can see why they would start charging for it. Some nights 5 out of 6 calls are unnecessary and it is frustrating to be transporting someone who stubbed their toe and have a real emergency happen.

We should also be mad at the reason this became necessary. Waayyy too many people look at the ambulance as a free ride to the hospital, or thought it would get them in faster, or thought it would look good on an insurance report. We have transported for the silliest reasons. We had a 17 year old kid who "kinda felt funny earlier", mom and dad decided it would be a good idea to call the ambulance out...mind you there were 3 cars and 4 able bodied adults at the house. We are not allowed to deny transport by law, kid wanted a neato ride in the rig so off we went. Wasting time, money, and resources. Then you have the addicts who sit down on the sidewalk and yell about back pain thinking they will score some opiates. People meet us at the door with bags packed, ready for their free ride. Dude in the minor fender bender starts howling about his neck as soon as we arrive.
This happens so often that we know certain addresses and names by heart.

True, but every time I see a dog I assume they want to play. I know I always want to play with pups.

You can love your country and still be proud of your southern heritage. I am from Long Island but lived in southern Georgia for a bit (Tift county) and many of the folks down there have a sense of pride for their home that is rarely seen up here. Here in New York we spend a lot of time belittling and pointing judgemental fingers at the people living south of the Mason-Dixon line but I have never experienced a more open and welcoming attitude than when I lived there. I know the racism issue will be screamed loudly but I know just as many racists here in NY (particularly in Brooklyn) as I did in Ga.
But hey, they talk funny so they must be stupid right?
