Every once in a while there will be a police helicopter circling around my campus and I'm like time to lock the doors and draw the blinds. Last time it happened the person they were after tried to break into some of the apartments in my building. (to hide I'm guessing) But campus security and the police were on top of it so no one got hurt thank goodness.

Plus if you act all guilty/paranoid they're going to be suspicious.

And once again you said that some sort of punishment for the idiot parent "wouldn't be a bad idea" and in this case the "punishment" is their kid choking to death. She was really old but still very high functioning at the time of the incident, but unfortunately when an elderly person is significantly injured, which she was, (I saw the pictures) it takes a toll on them and shortens their lives. She died a few years after the whole mess. They made a documentary about her and other cases that the media and public mocked as being petty and stupid that were actually legitimate issues. It's called "Hot Coffee" and it is very interesting.
