One of my favorite parts about living in South Africa (besides sales tax being included on the price tag in the stores) was that it's common to flash your hazard lights to say "thanks" when someone gives you space to merge. I wish American drivers could do something like that.

Fishy that there are 12 "possible" outcomes but only 9 possible inputs.
Figure that one out :P

There is no free pass to act like a bigot. But for people that want to be, excuses can always be found

I don't think genetics are that simple. The combination you get from your parents creates a unique you, as the genes interact to create new features

@banana Just speaking for myself, personally I'm not sure that God necessarily "creates" people with their specific sexual orientation either, but my reasoning is different than garlog's.
Let's be real: your genetic makeup comes directly from your parents.

The Law of Moses was given to the Israelites because they weren't showing themselves capable of following the higher law. All that stuff about eating certain types of animals, wearing certain types of clothes, even capital punishment were all part of that temporary Mosaic Law. When Christ came, he fulfilled the law of sacrifice (which is why we don't still do animal sacrifices), and re-instigated the higher laws. See the Sermon on the Mount for an example.
So yes, there most definitely has been an "updated" set of laws. If not, Christians would still be saying no to ham sandwiches.

Well if that's the case, I don't know what it is. It's certainly not a group of aardvarks.

Not the laws against homosexuality per se, but certainy any specific law that could ever justofy violence against homosexuals. I.e. anything in the Law of Moses (Leviticus, Deuteronomy, etc.).

Freeman speaks truth. The failures of individuals shouldn't be projected onto the groups they are a part of.

Except you can argue that it goes against the religion itself if those ancient instructions are no longer in force.
A Christian using the Law of Moses to justify violence against homosexuals, for example, is like a Mississippi resident citing the Jim Crow laws to defend their discrimination against blacks. It's an invalid defense.

What may be even more terrifying is the chance that the textbooks will say that we had the first black president reelected, then either the first woman president or the first flesh-eating lizard president (depending), and not much else.
Things that seem dramatic and intense now don't always seem as significant in hindsight.

I don't think whoever started this idea has ever seen a child get scared or nervous around strangers. Which happens a lot.
The truth is we're generally wired to trust things that we know. That applies to children just as surely as it does to adults

Anger doesn't have to factor into it. It would be more like claiming that the donut someone else is eating isn't healthy. Which would be an accurate statement.
