Funny how a stereotype of young boys is that they're into "gross" things, yet upon reaching puberty they are repelled by female bodily systems. Conversely, girls and women are portrayed as "fainting at the sight of blood", yet in reality have to deal with lots of bleeding monthly.
Exactly. If girls fainted at the sight of blood, there would be a lot more unconscious females in bathrooms. And guys will continue to be ino gross thins no matter the age
This is just my guess, but I think that the whole "girls fainting at the sight of blood" thing might have been because girls wore corsets which were super constricting. So in a situation where one might see blood because someone else was badly injured, girls may have gasped but because they couldn't fully inflate their lungs, they just kind of passed out. At least, that's what I always imagined. It'd be cool to learn what first started it though. I mean, what if the whole "girls fainting at the sight of blood" thing was just a rumor that went wacko? Kind of like cooties, but on a bigger scale.
Yeah, the tumblr comment was absolutely unnecesary. The conversation itself would've made a good point simply about how absurdly, even ridiculously hypocritical some people are, but tumblr feminists ruined it, as they ruin everything else.
