Since when were "voting" and "screwing up the future" synonymous terms?

As if people over 65 can't get screwed over?
You take away their vote and they are no longer important to many politicians. Politicians have no motivation to help them.
And that's completely unrelated to the fact that these people have the wisdom of age.

I need a hypothesis at least before this information is useful.
Why would a company intentionally do this?
To get more out of women just because they can?
Well heck, that sounds like basic microeconomics. Not sexism. You charge what people will pay.

Out of sheer quantity, the bad doesn't outweigh the good. There are far more responsible people than there are psychos. But the responsible people, because they obey the rules, don't take their guns into a gun free zone.
Criminals don't seem to be deterred by the signs. Can't imagine why.
I can't help but feel like we'd be better off without those signs than with them.

Evolution is a fact. That's not really up for debate in my mind. It just doesn't prove that there is no God behind it all.
Besides, if a God created the world, there's no reason to assume that the universe wouldn't still make scientific sense.

That sounds terrifying. I would never want to live in a place where the only means I have to reliably defend myself is a phone call (that I might not have time to make) and a police force that is, at best, 5-10 minutes away.
No freakin' thanks.

All I know is that if someone is trying to kill me with a bomb or a car I would still rather have a gun to defend myself than not. :P

Or even the fact that there are such people in the first place. Simply trying to take the guns away doesn't address the root issue.

Merchandising companies do the same thing for major sporting events --make championship gear for both teams so they'll be ready to profit either way.

I still remember getting pulled out of line and written up in third grade because part of my t-shirt came untucked in the back. And this was a public school in Florida. Place was hell.

If nobody you know is pleased with the election results, you should probably expand your circle of contact so it doesn't just include politically and morally homogenous influences. That's not a good situation.

Oh look, the White House staff likes Obama. There's a shocker.

I get where you're coming from, but do you really think a guy with zero understanding of politics could win the most competitive political race in the country, if not the world?
Don't be silly.

I doubt that's respecting nature as much as it is an aesthetic choice... that's a heck of a lot of work just to protdct two trees.

I think South Africa was generally better off during Apartheid.
Not completely -- obviously there was mistreatment and many people got the short end of the stick. And there's the whole moral issue of putting people into boxes based on race.
But everybody had a home, and everybody had a job. The country was relatively powerful and structurally stable.

Right. I'm just wondering why that means we need a third category to describe the person that likes both. The two interests are distinct, but why can't you just like both of them? You're not bringing in a third option.
But I guess it's the same problem we always run into when we try to pidgeon-hole natural phenomena that really don't belong in distinct boxes.

My most controversial opinion is probably believing in both science and religion.
I believe there was an Adam and Eve, and I think they probably had belly buttons.
Perhaps most controversial is that I think it's okay to have unanswered questions about that and other things.
Sure, most people will SAY it's okay to have unknowns. But how often do we really act on that idea?

Just depends how you count it.
"I like guys" is one.
"I like girls" is another.
Most like one or the other, some like both, some like neither.
Just thinking out loud here.
A child that likes video games is different than one who likes to play dress-up. But if you have a child that enjoys both (or neither), why would they need an entirely separate category to define it?
