I kinda feel walking around with a doctor's note that you cannot get laid is a shame unrealized.

Truth is among the few truly objective things in reality, but the problem is everyone is subjective by nature. We're never gonna have the society of truth everyone thinks they want, because we all have a subjective view on what "truth" is. Yes, many of us agree truth is the undeniable reality of something, but Sagan's lesson is cutting in that even stated, it'll never catch on. The text in bold of the meme is the ultimate truth. For example about how challenging it is to find "truth", one could dip their hand into the can of worms that is trans identity: Is it true that they are biologically the sex they are born with, or is it true that they are biologically the sex they choose? You aren't looking for the truth of the matter because the question and the answer you choose is affected by outside things, like politics and personal beliefs which could be rooted in lies deliberate or unknowing. You could even argue the way I phrase the question could divert you from or lead you to "truth".

I've been on a kick watching youtube videos tearing down the wehraboo conception of the german military during WW2, and this gladdens my heart to know it exists and happened.

Kyle was assaulted by three predators and criminals who thought they could get away with killing a kid. Seeing it as Kyle looking for people to shoot is a dishonest narrative and this case has thankfully shone sunlight on that falsehood.

He is a producer of his own film. That loop comes back to bite him in the ass, especially since the film crew has had MULTIPLE instances of firearms being improperly handled even before he responded to being asked to do another take by saying to this effect: "You mean like this?" and proceeded to POINT the gun at someone, and PULLED the trigger.

From what has come out, he flagrantly disregarded enough rules of gun safety that it is on him. He treated it like a toy, and wound up with a consequence that was entirely avoidable had he been more responsible.

Eisenhower was also impressed by the Autobahn. The ease of movement it allowed trucks and such to move about into Germany and France as the Allies pushed inwards struck him as compared to how things were in the US.
