Yeah, online firearms purchases have to be shipped to a licensed dealer, who then has to perform a background check. He couldn't have gotten it legally

Nah man valve covers are easy, just pop off the bolts replace the gasket and slap it back together. Easy peasy

It's an old military symbol called the iron cross. It started out as a Prussian thing and most countries have used it in one form or another. The Germans still use it as an emblem of their military
