Awhile ago, one Sunday afternoon, quite a few of the users were posting selfies on, basically accidentally clogging up the feed. They called it Selfie Sunday, but the FS gods, put a stop to it several hours in, and so created that category to keep the incident from being repeated.

Oh really? Because if you really do, you would realize that not everyone uses 9-gag, so not everyone has seen this image. You would realize that once it's on the free web, it's basically public property. You would realize that this is how the internet works, images get shared around various sites, often appearing on several at once, for everyone's enjoyment. You want a site that hosts only originally created content? Go build you own, and then heavily monitor it 24/7 to make sure no one is posting images that are already on another site. Also, that dot is too small to feasibility be a water mark.

Someone doesn't know how the internet works.
