Why did you make this about race? Just because they're a hick or redneck automatically makes them... what race? If I was assuming they were white(which I'm assuming you're assuming they are) and wanted to call them something derogatory for that reason I would have called them a honkie. But I wasn't. And then the white kids laughed because they were uncomfortable and the mexican kids tisked because they weren't mentioned and the asian kids remained silent because they were too busy learning and the native kid was ignored cause no one gave a fuck and we're all separated by race so that makes this a very good story.
