Well, according to the nearest dictionary, a "trollop" is a woman perceived as disreputable or promiscuous.

Okay, while I agree that the girls definitely shouldn't have done that and they really do deserve to get their concert tickets sold, a lot of that was completely uncalled for. I mean, calling your daughter a "trollop"? That's too much.

Well, a lot it. An artist will make a few wonderful pieces and become famous and then the rest of their pieces could be crap, but because they had those other great works, everyone wants them. Besides, you can always claim that the critics don't understand the deep meaning in your art in order to make it look less ridiculous.
I'm not saying this to bash art, I happen to love art. But I see people freaking out over sketches by Van Gogh or Leonardo da Vinci, and while I love them and think they're fabulous artists, their sketches are hardly anything to freak out over. It really is reputation.
I mean, it's like when you watch movies or TV and you see all the cliche rich people and before they'll walk right by a piece of art in an auction, but months later, once the artist has made a name for him or herself, they're practically falling over each other to get the piece.
This is funny bc it's true 7 comments

What kind of cliché woman has that kind of body language? If I wanna kiss them, I'll grab them and kiss them. I'm not some sort of Mary-Sue.

I know. I had just never really thought about it before, but once I read it, it made perfect sense.

Don't worry, unless you're an English major, then everyone has troubles with it. Even the native speakers. :)

Yeah, definitely one of my favorite things about this site: we're all up for debates about issues that concern us, but we can also be giant idiots (and I say "idiot" in a caring way).

See? It was hardly Tara's fault. Now I (and some others, I'm sure) would appreciate it if you got off of Funsubstance and stopped bullying people.

Haha, I have no friends (lest you count my mother), but I also don't care much for the notion of partying. It sounds dull and tedious. In fact, on Friday they had a sort of school "party" during the last hour or so of the day in order to reward the honor roll students and basically all they did was hand out soda and play pop music really loudly. I mean, it was nice getting out if class but it was immensely boring and I just stood off the side and read.

But they don't know that. I remember once saying "Merry Christmas!" to someone in Spanish (Feliz Navidad) because a song basically just repeating that was on and they got really mad at me because they thought I was insulting them.

Well, I'm glad. I feel like a lot of young people dwell more on the superficial aspects of life (i.e. partying, appearance, etc.) as opposed to the deeper ones. This usually causes me (and you, I suppose) to be a bit of a loner seeing as I haven't really met anyone who agrees with notions like that. I mean, they say they care more about personality, but the moment and "ugly" girl with a great personality walks into the room, they'll start bullying her.

Pakeha? I like that name. :D But people would probably think I'm insulting them in a foreign language, so no. People can get offended over the tiniest things.

Exactly. The dumb and beautiful are quite often annoying and I don't like being around them (however, I don't dislike them because they can still be sweet). But the brain is where it's all at and most "smart" people fail to interest me, much less the stupid ones.
