I mean, technically it's the combination of guns and ammunition and the human variable.

Take away any one of the three and you end up with either a loaded gun and no one to fire, an unloaded gun that can't fire, or a human with a box of bullets.

Taking away two of the three and you end up with a weapon that you can only really use by throwing it at someone - and neither guns, bullets, or humans are overly effective at large scale assaults when thrown.

I personally don't see why assault weapons ever actually became a thing your average Joe could get his hands on. Maybe someone knows something I don't, but as far as I know assault weapons don't really have any use outside of shooting other humans in rapid succession

Either way, assuming all this is correct and applies to the game, it seems even if a silver-inlay blade might be just as effective on a human, you'd be better saving it for the monsters where it is actually required.

If it's just a pure silver sword it's unlikely to be even a little practical for either.

You know this is one of the best parts of the interwebs. I had no intention of watching a video about silver swords but now I have and have obtained more knowledge that has no particular use but is still interesting.

Anyway, I've not played the witcher myself, but this guy mentions that Geralt's sword is not actually silver, it's steel with silver plating. Not sure if that's accurate or not, just throwing it out there.

He does point out that silver is not a particularly hard metal, which makes sense, and is unlikely to make for a good blade even when you hammer it. Sterling silver seems to be the only type half worthwhile using. Even then it has nowhere near the strength of iron. The purer the silver the more likely it will break or deform.

Even just having steel plating would make the sword much more effective, but incredibly high maintenance.

Tbh I feel bad for America because there's a humanitarian crisis no matter which way you spin in. The country can, in fact, only hold so many people and maintain any quality of life for them. This is true regardless of where they come from or the color of their skin. It also shouldn't necessarily fall on America's shoulders to pick up the pieces when other countries don't bother giving a crap about their own people.

On the other hand a lot of these people are literally fleeing for their lives with the barest hope of ANYTHING better than where they come from. Many can't afford to wait or get denied or whatever else. But A lot of them are hard workers and do their best to contribute more than even some natural citizens do. Plus I feel the wall creates issues above and beyond the usual, and for species outside of humans as well.
