I think I remember hearing about him, although I don't know any details about it really.

Killers with access to food production seem to come up with the same ideas... wouldn't be the first time a killer sold human meat as pork

You can read more about the events leading up to his arrest and his crimes here (other places as well, mind you) as it gets a bit convoluted:

Garavito would lure these children away to the edges of town, and then kidnap them, rape them, torture them, and kill them.
.
The exact details of his methods of torturing and killing them were gruesome enough to earn him the nickname "the beast."
.
It would take 5 years for the police to truly take notice of the killings. Part of this was due to the discovery of a mass grave, containing the bodies of at least 30 boys. They eventually found some additional bodies, along with a note with an address. The address was to Garavito's girlfriend's house.
.
She allowed police to search his possessions, at which point they stumbled across some of the "trophies" from his crimes including photographs, and journals detailing his crimes.
.
It was not the only one, as Garavito had been keeping "trophies" for so long, he had been unable to continue to carry them with him, leaving bags with at the houses of his family members as well.

The longest prison sentence in Columbia was given to a man named Luis Garavito, sentenced to some 1,835 years (and 9 days) in prison. However, in spite of this, due to Columbian sentencing laws, and his offering help to police during the investigation, it is possible he would serve as little as 25 years, with a possibility for parole in 2023.
.
While the exact count is unknown, he confessed to killing at least 190 children, all young boys between the ages of 6 - 16. The actual number is likely higher (some estimate as many as 400, with him purportedly eventually escalating to a point where he was killing multiple children a day).
.
The killings started sometime in the early 1990s, continued for 7 years, and are still under investigation to this day.
.
Garavito specifically targeted children that it was unlikely there would be repercussions if they went missing - should anyone notice at all.
.
Due to the constant chaos of civil war in the country, these children were in abundance.

Weird you didn't ask the Op to provide names. Just jumped on their d̶i̶c̶k̶ bandwagon to agree with their narrative automatically. Or maybe just go after anyone who DISAGREED with it. Took you quite awhile to even consider questioning who or what I was talking about.

When "they" censor people with just as many credentials as them for the mere act of disagreeing, "they" are entirely the problem.

What's it mean when you actively silence, fire, and attempt to publicly and falsely discredit any experts who also know a great deal about the subject and have studied it just as hard, simply because they dared come to a different conclusion?

He also reported finding footprints leading to the house but none leading away, and a series of other strange incidents to his neighbours.
.
.
Theories on who killed them and why are abundant, including one involving Viktoria's deceased husband.
.
This theory relies on the idea that Viktoria's husband did not die in war, as had been reported, instead surviving and returning to find Viktoria.
.
In this theory, his motive is believed to be tied to Viktoria's son, Josef, whom some speculated was a product of an incestuous relationship between Viktoria and her father. The pair had been convicted of incest several years before.
.
.
Despite the numerous theories, the killer(s) was never caught. It remains one of Germany's oldest unsolved murders to this date.

Despite the entire household being dead, it would take four days for the murder to be discovered.
.
This is, in part, due to accounts from neighbours and passerby reporting things like smoke coming from the chimney, and one claiming to see a man, who turned a lantern on him when he approached.
.
There is evidence meat had been cut from the pantry, among other things. This has lead authorities to conclude that the killers did not immediately abandon the crime-scene - rather they likely lived in the house for several days after the fact. Possibly they were there even before the murders took place - the father of the household had mentioned hearing strange sounds from the attic, and found a newspaper from Munich that did not belong to him or anyone he knew.

Not sure if this qualifies but:
.
The Hinterkaifeck murders took place in Germany in 1922 when a family was brutally murdered on their own farm.
.
The victims of the murder involved a man and a woman Andreas and Cäzilia Gruber, their "widowed" Daughter Viktoria, and Viktoria's children Josef and Cäzilia, as well as a housekeeper named Maria.
.
while exact details of what happened that night remain unknown, investigators believe the Gruber family (with the exception of Josef and Maria) were likely lured out to their own barn one by one, where they were struck on the head with a mattock.
.
The killer then moved to the house, where he slaughtered Maria in her bedroom, and Josef in his cradle. Josef was two years old at the time.
.
The daughter, Maria, is believed to have been the last to die, as the trauma to her head seemingly did not kill her immediately. She was found with clumps of her own hair in her hands. She was seven.

Amelia Dyer was a woman who lived in the 1800s.
.
While many of the murders are unconfirmed, she has been attributed with the deaths of hundreds of infants [between 200 - 600], which earned her titles such as "the reading baby farmer" and "the Ogress of reading."
.
She made a living offering to adopt unwanted children for a fee, after which she would murder the children and keep the money, often using opium to quiet them as she allowed them to starve to death.
.
She only ever confessed to the murder of one infant, but purportedly told authorities that you could tell if the corpses of babies found in the Thames were hers if they had white edging tape around their necks.
.
She plead insanity during her trial, but was found guilty and hanged.
