I work admin in a hospital operating theatre. 110% guarantee our surgeons would do this - just not in the sterile theatre. As the child goes to the recovery room, they would do it there.

Isn't Earth Day already a thing? Has been for years? One evening in March everyone turns off their lights for an hour.

Australian who works in a public hospital here. Locum doctors here earn $3000 PER DAY. The system isn't perfect but people here don't die of easily treatable diseases like diabetes because they can't afford the medicine. Their insurance doesn't stop because their illness means they can't work anymore. My tax bill last year was about $5000 (i'm a low income earner). That gives me free roads, police, education and health. How much was your insurance?

I have the greatest admiration for anyone who can be understood in English as a second (third, forth, whatever) language. I've tried to learn other languages and I suck. Plus English is a stupid language.

I don't know the figures for the US but here in Australia, homicide of a woman is 94% likely to be a domestic partner. Homicide of a man is 16% likely to be a domestic partner, including a male partner.

Does electricity/gas/water/food cost less? I know there are subsidised housing and discounts for public transport, but it still costs roughly the same to live with some level of dignity regardless of your level of developmental ability.

Wholesome nerd and jock 5 comments

This can happen. My son (the muscle bound body-building jock) was best mates with the nerdiest, most nervous skinny kid in school. The teachers would often tell me how much they helped each other. Sadly we lost contact with the nerdy boy when we moved, but my muscle bound completely straight son is now a nurse.
