Sometimes my small-town ass is terrified about what life must be like in bigger cities. I've always lived in the countryside or little urban areas and I can see the stars every night. It'd be awful not to.

even if you turn off all the lights in a city it doesn't magically erase the clouded atmosphere. Light pollution isn't instantaneous, it's cumulative, not to mention smog.

I would enjoy seeing the starts without the light pollution from my city obstructing my view. I should take a small trip to an urban are so that I can enjoy my start gazing.
NO! It's everyone else who must change so that I get what I want!

We've been doing this in Australia since 2007, pretty sure almost all countries do this too. Like @catfluff said we call it EarthHour

Ive lived in the greater Houston area my entire life and I unfortunately consider seeing stars a special treat. Id love for this to happen.

It does exist. Forgot the name though. You turn off all electricity for like an hour

People would stand there with their phones out, trying to get photos for insta, or dancing like Dicks for Tiktok
