Housework can save your marriage 21 comments

Yeah exactly, either share the housework or establish some roles with which both parties will be happy. But it's unacceptable to expect one partner to work as much as the other AND do housework. Just equality, man.

My family is a bit traditional so it usually falls on my mom to do the cleaning and cooking while my dad does the maintenance and also has a more stressful job so he earns more. But if both partners have careers on the same level, both should share cleaning and maintenance. And stuff like oiling the doorframe or tightening some screws is really not that hard.
Men sure do have it bad 11 comments

@songdae yeah I just wanted to point that out as well. I always thought women have a higher pain tolerance than men because they'd otherwise faint or die from pain during childbirth.

Nobody does their car or home maintenance anymore, they just call a mechanic/technician/plumber/whatever. And basic maintenance (meaning stuff that is simple enough that you don't need a specialist) is done once or twice a year, cleaning is an everyday thing.

Don't do this. Be honest about what you want, communicate, don't pull this bullshit. 19 comments

*sigh* tumblrettes being tumblrettes again.
Look, it would be more tactful to say "Okay, let me know if you need anything.", but leaving someone alone because they ask for it is totally fine. I don't understand this whole "I don't want to talk about it which actually means I want you to pry" bullshit. I'd never do it to my boyfriend, and even if I was in such an irrational mood that I would do it, I would never break up with him over it! What kind of backwards logic is that, breaking up with someone for doing what you told them to do?
But hey that's good because it stops these dumbass tumblrettes from breeding.

I'm okay with spiders because you kinda know what to expect, it's just gonna crawl away unless you catch/kill it. What I don't like are flying insects, especially wasps and big mosquitoes. You never know what they're gonna do and if they just don't decide to fly right at your face. They're not even scary, just really gross and cringy.

@regretfulforeigner Agreed. The royal family has massive wealth and fame just for being born, and apparently the Brits fucking love them. Why? What did they do?
The British government could easily function without them. They should let Queen Elizabeth II. live the rest of her life like this just out of respect for the old lady, but then make the UK a republic. Why waste a portion of the national GDP on some glorified celebrities' luxury?

I read somewhere that she'll appoint a centrist justice so I don't know about that. Yeah, if we went pure policy wise, she'd be better, but both the republican and the democratic party have become a joke. Neither of them are interested in freedom, they just wanna win. Still, Clinton is a bit less crazy than Trump in my opinion, but your point about neither parties liking him and therefore not allowing him to do anything is really good, I haven't thought of it that way before.

Yeah, she is way too hawkish and too right wing for a democrat, and very corrupt. But I don't believe she would actually start a war with Russia. She called Putin a warmonger and a bully, to which Putin responded "if she wins the election, it's war!" which is a total emotional overreaction. Putin would be the one starting conflict here, not her (if either of them were actually hotheaded enough to do so, which again would probably come from Putin's side because Hillary is cold and calculating but in any case I don't believe they would actually start a war). But she is way too hooked on Wall Street to dare do something as big as an actual war. I think the most likely scenario here is that she'll be just a bit worse than Obama. But Trump is a wild card so there's a 50% chance he will get just as corrupt and bought by Wall Street (and evidence about his actual wealth implies that it might be so) and a 50% chance he will just go totally crazy and try to deport all Mexicans and Muslims etc.

I actually really liked Haytham even though he was a Templar. And Connor was a bit of an idiot imo.

The problem is that you get extreme human interaction and then extreme solitude. Being in that crazy cycle for a long time might fuck you up pretty badly.

I agree with Barney here. Trump is trying to become besties with Putin, and also talks about getting rid of the Geneva conventions and NATO. If Russia and the US put their forces together, I'm afraid they would at least limit NATO's power which is obviously what Putin wants because then he can threaten the rest of Europe. As a Central European, I'm quite afraid of that and would take Clinton over Trump because of her foreign policy. Trump says he wants to "make America great again" but I'm afraid that he'd compromise international relations with the rest of the world (except Russia) while trying to do so. This is not just about the US, this is about the world.
I think Hillary's extremely corrupt and bought by Wall Street, however the email scandal which is her biggest problem right now was more of an oversight/negligence thing than malicious intent. Policy wise, she's better than Trump. His biggest problem is not understanding politics and doing crazy dangerous stuff.

I wonder if you can call the cops on them, just to teach them and their parents a lesson. Leaving your oily fingerprints and shoe dirt is technically defacing the memorial, right? Not to mention the weight of the children might bend or even break a piece of the statue (which is unlikely in this case as the statue seems to be made out of metal but could happen if it was made of plain stone).
