Yup, both my grandmas were so beautiful when they were young, seeing their youth photos makes me feel like a potato. It's interesting how when you meet someone when they were already old, you don't really think or can't imagine what they looked like when they were young. Or when someone has gained or lost a lot of weight, same thing, it's like wow. It's like an uncanny valley sort of thing, you see that person in there but they're also so different from what you know them as so it feels weird.

Damn, didn't think I'd get tagged, seeing as I'm not a very active user, but I'm glad you remembered me. I always feel more educated and intellectually fulfilled by the conversations and debates we have here, @guest_. Thank you ^^

I do indeed sometimes scoot a little on my office chair when I need to move to another part of the desk. I guess that could be considered cute.

Mmmmmmm egg 4 comments

Honestly that could be really nice in like a ramen or something. Just a few cute little slices of egg. Or on a shakshuka.
But you can't reheat it in a microwave because it'll explode so that's kinda impractical.

The cut I was talking about before was done by my grandma's friend who's a hair dresser but I usually cut it myself. I got it cut into a short bob which is something I wouldn't dare to attempt on my own, but my regular maintenance cuts don't require as much skill so I don't want to waste time and money for something I know how to do better lol

Nice! Will you donate the hair to charity or was it not long enough? I donated my hair when I cut it short, yay for doing nice things (it was a few years ago tho so it grew back and it's long now).
I was thinking of getting an undercut on the right side of my head but I'm too lazy to maintain it so I just make a little braid on the side of my head to give the appearance of an undercut when I feel like it lol

Maybe at your next wedding 5 comments

Ha, that actually happened to me. My parents and I got invited to my cousin's wedding but I got sick day before so I jokingly told my mom "I'll go to the next one" as they were leaving. She got a bit mad and said that's inappropriate to say but he did actually end up getting a divorce then remarrying and I did attend the second wedding. (Btw they're still together and have a cute daughter and an even cuter dog)

I mean yeah dyeing damages hair but so does excessive washing, aggressive shampoos, drying it with a blow-dryer or crunching it in a towel, swimming in the sea, having it out in the rain, wearing too tight buns or ponytails... I could go on but the point is, from my previous interactions with fluffydress, I can safely say they aren't really worried about whether people have healthy hair or not, they just don't like non-conformity. The people with the healthiest hair are probably greasy-haired hippies but I don't think fluffydress would be a fan of those types either.

I was about to write "cue famousone making excuses for colonizers because they 'brought culture' with them or something" but turns out he already did that.
No, I don't believe that every white person living now, or even direct descendants of those assholes should apologize to every native American, black etc person. Nor should they be treated worse in any way because of sins of their ancestors. But when this troubled past brings systemic issues that still persist, such as racial differences in wealth due to non-white districts being underserved, or land still being stolen from native Americans, then those issues and where they stem from should definitely be addressed.

I don't want to be a negative Nancy but if it's made out of natural fabrics at all it's probably moldy and rotting right now. Better than synthetic fabrics though because those wouldn't decompose, they'd just stay there and be gross.

Eh honestly as long as you eat well otherwise and work out a lot, it's fine.
Sorry for going off topic here I'm just really really mad at this misconception that eating less equals being thin and healthy because it's what led me into a calorie reduction diet that I was on for years with nothing to show for it. I ate about 1200-1400 calories every day (by the end I got desperate and lowered it to 800 even), I slowed down my metabolic rate so much that I just stopped losing weight altogether, I was tired and miserable all the time, my workout performance was crap and I wasn't gaining muscle at all. I basically put my body in permanent starvation mode. Now that I started slowly increasing my calorie intake (by about 100 more each week), I started looking more in shape, and I don't even work out that much.
Please if you ever think about going on a diet like that, don't. Instead, eat more protein, less processed foods, get more exercise even if it just means taking a short walk every day.
