Ok but the real story of the Andes plane crash is so bonkers. Ask a Mortician has a pretty good video about it if you're interested. Or just Google it, idc.

Ok but cauliflower rice is a miracle though. It makes a great low-calorie + low-carb rice substitute. Just take some florets and either blend them or grate them on a cheese grater. You don't even have to cook it afterwards, just put it in the microwave for a bit. You can toss it in a pot or pan as well but you gotta be careful about not overcooking it, it gets mushy really quickly.

Electric toothbrushes are great for that.
Also mixing turmeric with coconut oil into a paste works as a natural whitener. I know, sounds like BS considering the color of turmeric is very bright orange, but it does work over time if you do it consistently, at least in my experience. Apply it (ideally using a different toothbrush than you normally use because it's gonna turn yellow soon), wait for five minutes, spit it out or swallow it, they're both harmless ingredients, and brush your teeth as usual. Do it once a day, you should notice changes after a few weeks.

Right, keep dehumanizing everyone who disagrees with you Adam, it's gonna work great for you in the long run. Big brain move.
Famous, the fact that you don't remember all the instances of me writing long ass comments with citations show you don't really care about the truth. You're here to make your claims and check out. Whatever I say, it won't matter. It's like talking to a loudspeaker. It doesn't listen, just makes noise.
As I said, the burden of proof is on you. You've made zero efforts to actually accept it and show proof, instead you deflect and mock. As I said, I've seen this before and I'm done here.

That's not how the burden of proof works.
Besides, I've debunked your claims in countless different conversations before, and your strategy is just to ignore that and move on to making more insane claims. Then when pressed on it, you say I've never debunked anything, even when the sources are in the conversation and everyone can scroll through. Why should I bother doing your research for you and giving you sources, as I've done in the past, when you're just gonna ignore them? Sorry mate but I've danced this dance before and I'm sick of it. If you can't be correct, at least have the decency not to be dishonest, eh? Until then, peace!

Well, sorry to cut it short but it's kinda impossible to talk to people who have their heads so far up their asses they can't really hear what I say. So, peace!

@famousone So "they" = a few randos on Twitter nobody listens to anyway. Got it.
@xvarnah Oh sure I didn't research this at all lol. Five years of university studies in International Relations are worth less than your watching conspiracy theory videos on YouTube. And you talk about pointlessness. Ironic.
The fact that the effects of colonialism are still persistent today is just that, a FACT. You can deny it and say it's just the teachings of some evil cabal called "they", but historians and IR researchers agree on this.
And did you seriously get offended by my quip after you casually threw like ten ad hominems at me, assuming shit that isn't correct about me in the process? Ok snowflake. Don't dish it out if you can't take the same heat.

Of course it's not the only type of slavery in the world at all. A very relevant issue now is the defacto enslavement of Southeast Asian maids in Saudi Arabia. Would I like to change that? If I could wave my hand and change it in an instant, would I? Hell yeah. But I'm not from that region and have no power there. The only meager power I have is pressuring politicians from my country to change things in this country. Furthermore, I can contribute to changing the discourse about these issues in the West. That's how politics and activism work. If I went to Saudi Arabia and started protesting for the slaves to be freed, I'd only achieve getting my head chopped off. And I know you'd like that for me and everyone else who disagrees with you, but I quite like living for now, so I'm obviously not gonna do that.
.
I'm sorry I'm not made of straw like you'd like me to be, but at least I can promise not to indoctrinate the children.

Lol... You keep throwing around the word "they"... "They" are indoctrinating our children and whatnot. Who are "they"? Some kind of cabal? Or just people who happen to disagree with you?
.
Anyway yeah the consequences of colonialism and African slavery can still be felt today in terms of wealth inequality both between individuals within a country and between countries. (Ever heard the term center-periphery global economy?) That's what most people would argue and suggest solutions for, not that white people invented racism and are ultimately bad or something. Nobody's saying that, nobody's teaching that. You made that up so that you'd have a strawman to respond to. But unlike you, I'm looking for solutions, not excuses.

Oh no, I was responding to the post itself. Point is, nobody really says white people *invented* racism or slavery, what matters is the scope and the long-term consequences. But it's easier to respond to "white people invented racism and slavery", a position nobody really holds, than address a more nuanced position, for example that some structures still remain from those times which further reinforce inequalities.

This would be a very nice argument if it didn't only address the strawmen you made in your head.

I think the point is to just not continue the tradition out of personal choice, not erase it altogether. Who knows how far back you'd have to go to continue with this logic.

I love that people are calling out this fake performative woke bullshit of these companies, especially when the same companies have all these skeletons in their closets. Case in point fashion companies tweeting #stopasianhate but their shit is made in China using unethical labor, including child labor.

That's why when you use it to make milkshakes or smoothies with dairy (milk, yogurt) you have to cook the pineapple first! Otherwise it'll make the milk go very bitter.
It doesn't just break up meat proteins, it breaks up proteins. So you leave your yogurt smoothie in the fridge overnight and in the morning it's bitter as hell. Yes, I'm talking from experience.

Lol why is there a tennis racket in the girl's speech bubble? Are only girls allowed to play tennis?
(Yes, yes, I realize it's a mirror. But it only emphasizes the fact that gender roles are utter bullshit, doesn't it?)

Tesla isn't even that eco-friendly. The mining of heavy metals for batteries is terrible for the environment, and of course it is mostly done in China so it once again increases the West's dependency on a totalitarian country without human rights. And the batteries themselves don't usually last more than 10 years, unlike oil engines that, if taken care of properly, can go for decades. Not to mention the eco-friendliness of a Tesla heavily depends on where the country you're charging it in gets its power. If it's from renewable, eco-friendly sources, great. If it's from coal plants, not great.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no oil shill, I just think mining heavy metals to make batteries that won't last you more than 10 years isn't really the way to go, environmentally speaking. And for a long time I had a weird feeling about Tesla and Musk. It's like, more of a fashion company than a car company, in the same way Apple is more of a fashion company than a tech company. Y'know what I mean?
