But men can typically get away with impregnating a female and never having any responsibility after that (obviously not all guys would be like this) whereas women have huge responsibilities from the get go and therefore will do anything to prevent getting pregnant. Even if a birth control pill for men did get past that stage I don't think it would be very popular.
Men are legally obligated to provide child support for any child they sire even if they aren't around. This makes it financially beneficial for women to have a random guys baby, since she will then get both government child benefit, plus child support from the father. In my eyes this is massively in favour of the women to be honest. Also a man is not simply a "gun", since sometimes the women want to be "shot" and will sabotage birth control methods so the man doesn't even know he "shot" her. Only tumblr feminists see one side to this argument. . . . .
Bitches be crazy. Some women want money, others want a baby. I've been with baby crazy women, not cool for a guy who is not ready to have a child. The system is massively in favor of the woman, no doubt about that. There are birth control methods for guys, vasectomies, pull-out, double or triple wrapping it, then there is not even using it. One of my ex's couldn't afford to eat on the food stamps the gov't gave her, so she asked how to get more. The lady on the other end of the line told her to have another kid.
I disagree with the guest, my father is a multimillionaire, I haven't seen him since I was twelve(he's a twat) and my mum is flat broke, she gets $50 a month from him legally he SHOULD be paying about $7000 but the system is easy to dodge when you know what you're doing. And p.s I'm not a feminist, guys and girls should be treated equally but I think feminists tend to take things a bit far for my liking
tripodhyphenpop you're obviously messing with the so-called women, real women don't pull shit like that. Btw, the pull out method is bullshit just so you know. If you've someone that doesn't act like that, keep her.... and all the best of luck to you two!
Mickeymouse I totally agree with you. Your mom (and you) deserve so much better than someone dodging the system like that, my ex husband does the same thing. I also think feminists take things too far.
Pull out isn't bs it's just the riskiest way of doing it. Rookies are the ones that usually fuck it up but it can happen to anyone and wrapping more than once is total bullshit cause they'll break easier. Just use one and if that fails or you don't pull out in time or have any doubt then just head to cvs and buy a plan b pill which is super effective(haha)
Yea I looked it up and it's like I said if you're not used to it then you'll get pregnant about 27% of the time but if you're used to it and know when exactly to pull out then it's only 4%. But nowadays even if I know the girl is on bc I'll probably still use a condom. Can't be too careful
Under normal use (i.e. some mistakes made) condoms are 85% successful. Under perfect conditions, condoms are 98% successful. Even when the condom fails, the woman does not automatically get pregnant so the chance of pregnancy is even lower than 2% under perfect conditions (condom is put on properly and lubrication is adequate). However, most people have 100% success with condoms for their entire sexual lives.
That doesn't mean men can't handle menstration it just means that they were unnatural sideeffects deemed inhumane. Whereas with women it's completely natural and it's not like it's mans fault that women get periods. Plus would you honestly want both genders have menstrual cycles? I mean that doesn't sound like fun for ANYBODY. Murder rate would skyrocket for both genders forsure
I've already replied to someone who said a similar thing on a similar post here. The side effects for women can be: Nausea, Weight gain, Sore or swollen breasts, Small amount of blood, or spotting, between periods, Lighter periods, Mood changes, Abdominal pain (stomach pain), Chest pain, Headaches (severe), Eye problems (blurred vision), Swelling and/or aching in the legs and thighs etc.
Periods are natural and we can't hold a grudge against men for not having them. But is there anything about these pills' side effects you find natural? How did these even get past the testing stage?
There is a male cycle, it just isn't the same as menstruation. the men will go through a period of time, every three months or so, where he will be more irritable and so on. This cycle is his body resetting his hormones.
That stuff is natural, it is called pregnancy. I don't know how many times I have had a pregnancy scare when my girl would change her BC.
You want to know how the pill got past trials, I want to know how depression meds get past trials. side effects of being even more depressed than you were, suicide, and a delayed back ache, wtf is that?
So birth control for men was denied for "inhumane side effects", which by the list above isn't shit, but we can take birth control where the normal side effects are heart attacks, strokes, blood clots and a long list of other things. Wtf?
You know that oral contraceptives are taken voluntarily right? Nobody is making you take them. If you don't like the side effects, male scientists have kindly invented multiple different contraceptives for your stupid ass to use instead.
Second guest, thank you for noticing the "male scientist" statement. You took the words right out of my mouth.
First guest, all I can say is your comments don't need to include calling people names, grow up. Also, other forms of birth control methods have risks as well. They can puncture the uterus walls, etc. They all have side effects.
Guys suffer in their own ways like girls suffer in their own ways. Maybe we should stop hoping that men should have equal pain because for all we know, men could have it worse.
YES! Studies show that Men are 30% likely to fall in love with a woman faster, and 2/3 time's its unrequited love! So, for Men, it's not Pyschical Pain, more as Emotional Pain, Which is ALOT more scarring then Pyschical.
You can't have birth control pills for men. The only way would be a vasectomy, and If you insist everyguy does that... The human race dies out. BECAUSE GUYS AREN'T BUILT TO NOT REPRODUCE
Both vasectomy and tubal ligation can be reversed. From what I read, the success rates are very high and accidents happen rarely, but it may have side effects (although not as many as the pills, unless there were some complications). Also it costs some money.
But that isn't a bad thing, is it? Force this on everyone and unless they can afford the reversal, the won't have children. It is inhumane and cruel but so is living with 1000 people on 1 square meter, which may happen in the future (and already is happening in Asia) considering how much is Earth overpopulated.
(I know I'm very radical, please don't thumb me down to oblivion)
I really don't understand how you got to forcing everybody to undergo a surgery like this because of discomfort and mood swings once a month. (and I am not dissing Periods I have a number of friends who have make it very clear how unpleasant they are) the reason that girls take contraceptives and seem to have more responsibility in that area is because
1. they have a reproductive cycle that can be started and stopped without harming them. Some Hormonal treatments slow or stop the menstral cycle however when you stop taking the medicine the menstral cycle goes right back to doing its thing. If you tried to stop a guys balls from producing sperm then his balls would permanently stop producing sperm shrivel up and lose there functionality. also they would no longer be able to produce testosterone which would be a bit of a problem.
2) Girls have a greater responsibility to be aware of the risks then men simply because many guys won't be thinking intelligently in the long term.
You kinda missed my point, bro. It's not about sparing women a few periods, not at all. It's about preventing overpopulation and children being born into the life of suffering because their parents rather bought LSD than birth control pills/condoms.
You're right about the vasectomy thing, though. Men's and women's bodies work differently which is why this would only work on women without leaving any permanent damage.
1) Necrobump. C'mon the post is 3 years old. 2) So did some women when female birth control was originally tested back in the day. https://www.dailydot.com/irl/male-birth-control-trials-women/ And mental problems are just the tip of the iceberg, I mean you can die from a blood clot because of BC. And I can tell you from my personal experience that even today's female birth control isn't perfect. The first time I had a real depression (not just sad feelings) and terrible mood swings was when I started taking hormonal birth control. It was like my soul was devoid of any emotions, and then suddenly it was all rage. It messes with you in ways that are unimaginable for men. I'm not saying "a guy died, so what?" No of course that guy must be taken into account but women made big sacrifices too and we still keep making them (seriously just google side effects of hormonal birth control), so why should we have all the responsibility that stems from these sacrifices, while men have none?
I actually wasn't even talking about periods at all. I was referring only to birth control which has nothing to do with periods. I never said anything about one gender being better or worse than another, I agree with you on the fact that both genders have members that do really stupid shit, so I'm a little confused about being called out.
