It makes the doctors who do the injections feel better to go through the sterilizing procedure. Waste of sterilizer though. I mean geez, wouldn't it be the same if they used water?
The problem is when the lethal injection doesn't work. it has happened, and when it does, you don't want to be that man who kills the criminal due to negligence. that would be murder
Not necessarily because the shooting would probably be due to self defense but if he just straight up went down there and shot any inmate for no reason then yea it’s murder. However, if a doctor (doing any procedure) fucks up and causes the death of a patient due to negligence then they can get into serious legal trouble and have their license stripped from them
