How do you know how much water it would have? Since when does water imply heavy vegetation across the entire planet, considering it's usually below freezing point?
If water were present, lichens and mosses would appear, after lichens and mosses would come grasses and small plants (e.g. flowers,) after grasses and small plants come the bigger plants. At the same time, plant life does not always mean animal life will form.
P.s. If anyone can correct this that would be great. I'm going off really bad memory of biology in high school.
Plot twist: Mars had water billions of years ago with life and every thing but it's 'humas' screwed everything up just Like We're doing and the atmosphere got destroyed and everything died resulting in the Mars we see today.
