I don't think size should matter but I also think that people should try and be healthy, not for beauty but because we only get one body so why treat it badly
I think its important that we realize that people are entitled to preferences. Like I personally would prefer one of the women from the top instead of one from the bottom. It doesn't make me a jerk, its just what I find attractive. Similarly, someone else would prefer one of the women from the bottom. There's nothing wrong with that, and it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the models being skinny. It doesn't mean that any of the women are more beautiful, c0z that's a subjective term, it just means that certain women are more attractive to a particular person.
Studies have shown that the idea of beauty for men is a very narrow and specific thing. In this sense, beauty is stable and consistent. Objectively (i.e. can be measured), the top women are more beautiful; this is due to increased indicators of youth and reproductive health (such as perfect skin, light skin, pert breasts, large eyes and forehead and large, plump lips etc) and overall symmetry. What you mistakenly have referred to in your comment above is the fact that people are "attracted" to different body types. You can be attracted to someone who isn't objectively beautiful, but that doesn't change the scientific parameters of what makes a physically attractive female.
So basically, beauty, the things that most guys would find attractive (I say most because every rule has an exception) can be physically determined and therefore they can't blame us guys for being more attracted to certain women than others? :D dude, you've just made the world a better place for me. Thank you.
Almost everything women do seems to be in an effort to make herself feel more attractive. Losing weight should also fall under this category. Losing weight to make yourself feel more attractive is just as valid as losing weight for health reasons.
Or we can realize both of these campaigns are still Photoshopped images of women, with flaws, cellulite, bones (as in the upper), airbrushed away. These campaigns are all trying to sell woman things under the pretense it will make them more beautiful. Neither is what women should be comparing themselves to.
You don't notice how the ribcages of the women in the top have been smoothed out by Photoshop? Look for it in the upcoming spring/summer season- models are made to be super thin to fit the 'look' that is desired, but the more 'unpleasant' side effects- the boney shoulders, sharp hip bones, the jutting ribs- are smoothed away like cellulite. Look for yourself, it's everywhere.
It's not always about being fat/skinny, but about how you wear it. For example, we had a teacher who was as plump as these girls, but damn she could dress herself up. I always admired her clothing style because everything she wore looked stunning on her.
Fat chicks wearing skinny jeans and cropped T-shirts are just gross, though. Seriously nobody wants to see your muffin top. Same applies to skinny people wearing baggy clothes - it's not flattering at all.
Also, being curvy and having tits and ass is okay, but making excuses for being overweight is not cool. Even if you don't care about what society thinks, it's unhealthy. Again this also applies to super skinny people. Being healthy = being sexy IMO.
if you're skin and bones= not attractive....if you're so huge you can't even sit without breathing heavy= not attractive...healthy for your bone structure=attractive
ACTILLY, I'm the same Geust, n im not a child!!! I'm 8 YERS OLD! Thats RLLY old n plus I look RLLY guod! I don lower the iq (wahtevar that means) n your just all gay
Nah that annoying guest isn't 8. An 8 year old wouldn't come back and reply. And an 8 year old wouldn't comment on this picture..... That guy is just being a fucking moron, seriously :|
i disagree with this; hear me out here. people go "oh, look how skinny they are, that's not beauty" at the top picture and although it may not be an average body size, that is still may or may not beauty. i don't really think that you can call any of these people beautiful without knowing them. beauty shouldn't be purely aesthetic. the second girl from the left in the top picture may be a horrible person, and the third from the right on the bottom the nicest person you could ever wish to meet. size should not affect your beauty in the slightest, and even the person who spliced these two images together is judging beauty by body size ("they're not beautiful, those are unrealistic standards for women" (which is true, but they still can be beautiful")). i personally do not believe that you can judge beauty at a glance. it should be deeper than that.
WHY DON'T WE TAKE ALLLL THE GIRLS PUT THEM IN ONE PICTURE, AND TITLE IT "LOVE MY BODY CAMPAIGN" because moral is that whatever you are you should love yo body unless you is unhealthy like fix that so you can look at the mirror reflecting a beautiful figure for a little longer ya? ya.
I kinda hate how people are turning being skinny into a bad thing and overweight into a good thing. I mean, I get that there are lots of different body types and some people are big boned and others are small boned. But being overweight or too skinny isn't healthy. Notice how all the woman in dove have bigger builds? Well, thats like saying naturally thin people aren't beautiful! VS gets all this shit but Dove really isn't any better.
"Real" beauty? Are you implicating that the models who probably starved themselves or worked out to get to the stage that they're in aren't really beautiful? Adolf Hitler wasn't afraid to show the world the real him. Look how that turned out. I'm not saying the women in the 2nd frame aren't beautiful, but I am saying be fair. The women in the 1st frame have real beauty too.
True, true, but by saying its what's on the inside that counts, means you gotta get to know the person to determine their "beauty" c0z you can't tell what type of person they are by looking at a pic.
Exactly. This is what women tell themselves to make them feel better around more attractive females. They say to themselves "well she is beautiful on the outside but she is ugly on the inside". You can't know that until you get to know them. I would argue that many supermodels today are actually more "beautiful" on the inside than most normal women since the models take part in a lot of charity work etc. However this is not something "normal" women want to hear because that would make the models beautiful inside and out; it would be no contest.
Fat shaming is moronic. Not everyone is built to be skinny. I have always been a beanpole, and my sister has always been larger. She would look sickly if she were my size, because that's not what nature intended.
I agree with nerdyheart..i am skinny, but i always want to have bigger boobs and all that think but it's just what i want not something what i will get and the same is with my girlfriend she is chubby but she is perfect for me as same i'm perfect for her and i'm sorry for that long text i just think it's good to have body you born with
It's good to feel good about how you look and your body, but in reality, beauty is defined by the biological desires of the opposite sex (or same sex in gays). Therefore women can keep telling each other that they are beautiful even though they are overweight, but men will never view them that way. It is a stable biological drive that is unlikely to ever change in humans.
Wow, all these girls are so fricking fat. stop eating mcdonalds and start being beautiful. ugh, gay.
If you RLLY wanna be pretty, don't look like a fucking slob. gay.
Hm! I bet their actually prettier then u... kuz if u be so mean then, just shat up n go cry to ur mom. I just think that their really fat and gross, I'd hate to bee them
Very childish :) and please learn to spell, you're lowering the IQ of this page.. And sweety, I'm pretty sure that by the way you treat others that you are no stunner yourself :) I'm happy with the way I look and I accept myself for my flaws and my highlights of my body- obviously you are not comfortable with the way you look or else you would have some respect for others :)
I believed that it was not very nice of the guest and so I voiced my opinion, just as you are. And to be fair I was decent about my reply to the guest and I am happy with what I said. I don't think that comments like that should just be overlooked, people need to learn some decency :)
Funny how if people are bigots we make excuses and say to ignore them, but when someone stands up, demands respect, or just courtesy its a problem, and we're going to somehow make bigotry more common by saying its not okay?
I get that trolls are all over the internet, but if they post their opinions of hate we can post ours of civility.
You rock borebowl ^_^
