I've never understood what's so bad about calling someone black. You can call someone white if they're white, but you can't call them black if they're black? I don't understand.
Yes exactly. And I think racism doesn't "go one way" but at school my nick name is cracker and only one kid just him but he is extremely racist. He thinks that having a white president should be illegal (I know crazy) and he bullies the white kids (except a few who have lashed back) even with this he claims he isn't being racist but "correcting the wrongs by what my kind has put him through"
Yesterday was Easter. Am I right? Romans killed Jesus Christ because he called himself god. ROMANS did it. Does that mean I run around pissed off at Roman Jews all the freaking time. People learn to forgive and forget. Besides it mainly all worked out in the end anyways...... Partially
I'm not exactly sure whether you're making this out to be a good or bad thing. Go ahead and chalk it up to me living in a place where it's common to hear both words spoken without malice.

Congrats, guest. You are a credit to your cause. We have all learned something thanks to your decision to crawl out of the woodwork.
Are you all kidding me, slavery decimated a whole race of people, the trauma and social repositions of this will last for centuries. They arnt using it as an "excuse". You all need to go and get some damn education. Shame on you all.
So....decimate means to kill a large percentage. You could say that the Native American population was decimated, since the population dropped so low even today you don't see all that many. The "black" population was not decimated. You also mean't social repercussions not repositions.
Was slavery a terrible thing? Of course, and there IS still racism out there, but for the most part the younger generation of people never actually experienced any of it. They themselves weren't slaves, they didn't even have to fight for their civil rights. Why should they have preferential treatment now because some generations back their family were slaves? Other races that have had just as terrible things happen to them don't constantly bring up the fact that somewhere along their family line, somebody did something terrible to them. In fact, if you look at just about every culture (and not just lump all white people into 1 group), at some point they were oppressed by somebody else.
