Really what can we do? I want to go in there and fuck shit up with North Korea and bring down their regime. Unfortunately North Korea would retaliate quickly by killing millions of South Koreans. Sure we could topple the north in a matter of days but still, millions of people would be dead. It will be an all out blood bath. Plus there is a problem with China using North Korea as a buffer state to keep it separated from the south which hosts 26,000 U.S troops. World War III could start just because of this. The world governments need to get involve in the crisis and help the poor people out. I just don't see that happening because aid has been given to North Korea but they never keep their end of the bargin. Causing fewer countries to trust them.
I didn't know it is this bad up there, I feel sorry for them

What you are suggesting us to do is to start a war because hobestky, i see no other way around it. While i agree that many people would benefit from the U.S. (or any other first world country) help, its not as simple as one might think.
1. kinda sucks that he ratted his parents out, although it does explain why near the end.
2. Here is the problem with helping these people. Say America goes in because what is happening to these people is deplorable. People WILL die. American soldiers, North Korean soldiers, and some of the prisoners for sure. There's probably a good chance that war could break out and tons of other innocents would be killed too. Even if all things go incredibly well, ALL of those deaths will be blamed on America. Other countries will bitch about how America oversteps its bounds and should focus on its own problems before invading other countries.
Now, say things DON'T go incredibly well, which lets face it, things won't work perfectly as planned. Now there are tons more deaths, probably a lot more money and resources spent (by the US of course since it had endless money...) a potential WWIII started, and again EVERYTHING will be blamed on the US.
OR, say the US ignores their plight. You wouldn't have a new world war, no American deaths, no North Korean soldier deaths, you would still have all the prisoner deaths though. And who takes the blame again? Oh thats right, THE US. How can the US just stand by and let these abhorrent atrocities happen? Why are they so heartless worrying about their own "first world problems" when heinous crimes like this are being committed around the world. Notice its not England's or France's fault, nor is it Sweden's, Norway's, Germany's or *insert whatever other country is perfectly capable of helping too* fault. Nobody else gets so much shit for not helping out everywhere else, and yet gets even more shit for trying to help out anywhere else.
There is no "easy" answer for this. People will die and America will look bad for it no matter what choice is made.
The United States is NOT the worlds police. The only reason the US looks bad by not doing anything is because people need someone to blame when they don't want to risk their own lives and want an American to die in their place. No country has asked us for help while fighting a war with North Korea for almost 50 years, but everyone seems like they want America to start the war instead. That would make us no better than Nazi Germany, doling out our justice to the tune of millons of lost lives. Afghanistan anyone? Fight your own fuckinig battles, or at least start fighting them before you cry-baby bitch that America is worrying to much about their own problems. At least England had the brass balls to start fighting the Nazis before asking America for help, why are you asking for American deaths when you're just playing God from the safety of your home?
America has the worlds strongest forces currently, if anyone has a chance at doing anything it would be the us, but there's no way other countries wouldn't contribute. I'm not saying that it's the us's responsibility , I'm just saying that if any country has a chance at successfully doing anything it would be the us, because you guys are kinda really tuff.
Other countries are not contributing now. We do have the strongest military, but we are not strong so everyone else can have an excuse to be weak, we are strong because we don't ever want to be the victim ever again. I know ask, what's the rest of the worlds excuse?
Hay, I live in canada and any act like this disturbs me, I would be willing to do all I could to stop things like this from happening anywhere in the world, it's our governments calling the shots , not us , because if I had to make a decision I would do whatever, work with whoever to stop this. I support the us fully , it's that no other country has the power military wise that the states does. And if I do think that other countries should be doing something not just the us, but the us would have a better chance than most, that's all I'm saying, not saying they should or shouldn't do whatever, just that with the amount of power the us has , they would do better than a lot of other countries
I agree that the US is no world police. But when you are tied of seeing suffering you want help. In most cases we see is the US. Not necessarily a war but if US pays attention the world follows lets be honest. And you get mad at organizations like UN or the Human rights someone's fitting for smaller things
Okay so I know America isn't all that great but if we were to get involved then we would be shamed for constantly being In other's business, but if we don't get involved then we are to blame because we have all these weapons we could use. It's kind of a lose-lose situation. (Also I'm not saying that we shouldn't help, I'm just stating my opinion.)
People want to blame America for not doing anything because it's easier to want faceless Americans to go die before themselves. All it is is cowards being cowards.
I can agree with that. But I wouldn't necessarily call them cowards. I think they're just probably scared. Putting myself in their shoes, I can almost understand their blame. They need a different person to blame other than the enemy, because blaming the enemy won't help them. Making another country feel guilty for not helping could possibly give them the motivation to interfere, so maybe that's what they're hoping for.
FDR, like all of America, didn't believe concentration camps existed, humans couldn't possibly be that evil, that's why the railroad lines weren't bombed. We were at war then, we are NOT at war now, it is NOT the USAs job to fight other countries battles for them. You're not asking for the United States to end the threat that is North Korea, you're asking the United States to die for your beliefs when that's something you're not even willing to do.
Please! What we really need are prayers and missionaries. I encourage anyone who is interested in the injustice of the tortures taking place in other countries read the book Tortured for Christ or even look up videos on martyrs. Prisoners, even children, proclaim the testimony of Christ are enduring the flogging and torture refusing to claim that Christ is not real. He is indeed the only one that somehow turned their sufferings into joy! Really crazy when you hear a woman rejoicing when getting arrested on her wedding day and thanking God claiming, "It's an honor to suffer for my king." Also think of the woman in Sudan. I've also heard testimonies from North Korea. What has God shown these individuals that they would be willing to give up everything including their life? Jesus!!! He really is alive! !
If South-Korea and Japan or NATO takes the whole thing first then yes support them. The US has done enough taking all the costs upon themselves, other countries should stop hanging on them if they can help themselves. People always hate the Americans until they need help, then America helps them and they hate all over again. What is the meaning of people always blaming the US when they have always made the great saccrifices?
Honestly idk why you are getting downvoted. Look at Nicaragua. US helps then get rid of the sandinistas....years later they go and vote for the same guy..
Precisely. The US does a lot of good. But people can't just stand there and expect them to do everything. People just rub bad things in their faces and cover the good up.
And yes they might do a lot of good for something in return (like oil) but what can they get from Nicaragua? They also helped train Colombia military to fight FARC. Yes something in return most be in the table.....they are not stupid....but in those two scanners i don't see what could it be. In Venezuelas car they could hit a oil jackpot...and they haven't intervened! They are no saints...no one is, but yeah ppl forget the good. Venezuela had a tragedy in 1999. US sent equipment to rebuild the city....vzla government sent it back cuz they wanted money which of course never went to people in need.
See people, the US doens't always get something out of it. Eg. Ukraine, advisers spec ops (yes don't argue they do have spec ops there) and the CIA. It's all to help the helpless people. Like you said no one's a Saint, but they don't always get something in return.
Ok, so I have a question. So if the hitler time with the camps and everything, and supposedly this guy (who looks 20-ish) was in those camps. I'm generally confused. It's a good story to hear and to teach people but how could he be in the same time period where hitler camps were around?
1) Dude this post is 3 years old. 2) Not sure if you're trolling or not so I'll explain: it's about North Korean camps, where stuff like that happens even today, not "Hitler camps" (I suppose you mean concentration camps). Haven't you heard of the student who recently died after being imprisoned in North Korea? He allegedly stole a poster and they threw him in jail where he slipped into a coma and died shortly after returning to the US. He had no injuries so it's presumed they tortured him by oxygen deprivation, which would explain severe brain damage and the coma. And that happened like, what, a month ago maybe? So yes these camps are still very real in North Korea.
Oh sorry, my bad dude. I kinda skimmed over after all the awful torchure stuff and so the words I got from it were "Hitler camps" and so it didn't connect about the fact that he looked so young. Thanks for explaining.
You claim you hate extremist governments, but you'd use the most extremist (and also the most painful, cruel and inhumane) method to get rid of them/change them to your liking without hesitaton. You're getting downvoted because you're a bloody hypocrite.
