The only example of hypocracy here is the last one. You can take extremes and of course men will not be attracted. If a skinny girl feels like a cold dead corpse: no, if she needs a crane to get out of bed: also no.
Also, everyone is entitled to their opinions. Except that for those two examples it is vital that they get medical help because it's very unhealthy to be severely underweight or overweight.
I'm an engineering student at a technology-based high school and the guys love having females in their classes because they know we're there because we WANT to be there, so we can be helpful when they need help on things because they know we've been paying attention/trying our hardest (not to say or imply that the males don't want to/haven't been).
Also, the majority of males that I've encountered in my life have told me that they prefer females who don't wear makeup, or at least don't wear excessive amounts, because they'd rather be attracted to the real thing.
This post, here, is an example of a feminist using extremist examples to attempt to prove a very biased point that is not logically backed up with examples of real-life scenarios.
No, I meant the genuine entirety of the human race. I've seen comments from varying genders and all point to this post only showing ludicrous extremes, and how the normal male population does not adhere to the standards set by said post, as well as indicating several example set by the male population against said extremes, shown through the eyes of males and females alike.
The commentary might be intelligent and enlightening... but there's still over 3000 people that "liked" the post that didn't bother to come in here and say how bullshit it is.
Does anyone else ever wonder who all those anonymous thumbers are? I've seen some posts get up into the 4-5K range, but only a tiny fraction of us are active in the FS community.
Perhaps 'joke' is the wrong word; more like...sarcasm? Anti-joke? Whatever it was, it wasn't meant as a serious thought that males were a subspecies of humanity. However, I still feelthat my downvotes were from something else.
I think what has happened here is that the poster doesn't know the diffence between a guy and an asshole. As a gentleman I firmly believe in everyone's right to look/wear/weigh however or whatever they like without fear of harassment or ridicule.
You don't need to be a gentleman for that, just be a decent human being.
Look/wear? I agree... Where's Kermit sipping tea, 'cause that's not my business.
.
But when it comes to weight however, I disagree. I will leave out the health repercussions, but it reaches a point where some people need an intervention because their poor habits are going to kill them. This holds true for both over AND under weight people.
to be honest most of the things most girls do like trying to be skinny and wearing makeup is to try to make themselves feel pretty. Also we're compared to models that are all skinny and pretty and we want to be that so it's not all for guy attention
Does anyone remember seeing one of those 3D images of if Barbie was actually human? She was out of proportion to the extreme. Then, they 3D image'd a human into Barbie and although it looked much...less doll-y(for lack of a better word), it also looked much more human-ish.
Also, the majority of males that I've encountered in my life have told me that they prefer females who don't wear makeup, or at least don't wear excessive amounts, because they'd rather be attracted to the real thing.
