But at least he caught the atomic holocaust one.
When you're done finding things to complain about, you're welcome to join the fun the rest of us as are having. :)

It's people, not God, so far who've been catching the atomic holocaust rocks.
But don't worry - I'm having plenty of fun not relying on a religious figure to protect me from bad stuff. :)
The point is, you can always find things to complain about, if that's what you want to do. What if God had caught the AIDS rock, as you say? First of all, you would have no idea that He had done it. Secondly, you would just point to something else that isn't perfect and ask why God allows that thing to be so. It's a complaint that will never end until you either obtain a perfect life or you change your attitude, like the guy in the image above did. You won't get the first, so you may as well do the latter. In the meantime the argument accomplishes nothing other than making you feel better about yourself.

I just fail to understand the basic concept of this comic - God is supposedly omnipotent, yes? This is a key element to his character. Why then, with literally unlimited and all-encompassing power and authority, did God miss any of these rocks?
I don't feel the need to change my attitude, as I haven't been in a religious state of mind for a long, long time.
The comic is a nice thought; I don't think it's meant to be doctrine. It's just a pick-me-up, of sorts. Don't read too much into it. I think it's only meant to show Jesus' love and sacrifice for us -- it's not meant to be a commentary on his power.

It may be designed as a positive pick-me-up, but it's fundamentally flawed; it makes you feel better through being false.
(I don't think I'm reading too much into it - the very point the comic is trying to say just doesn't make sense.)
I just find it funny that everyone appears to be loving this illogical religious post just because it's positive, after so many people say things along the lines of "let's keep religion off FS" whenever they see a post that legitimately questions religion.
