Well, I can sense many negative energies in your body, which causes negative blood type. If I perform a Wan Shin ritual upon your home, aligning your furniture with the positive energy flow, I will be able to change you to positive blood type, which will help you in life. But of course I need 8000 bucks first, its very difficult to sense these powerful energies flowing about.
The + and - are whether or not there is a 3rd antigen in your blood cells. A means you have the A antigen, B means you have the B antigen. So AB+ means you have all three antigens in your blood cells. This determines what your body can receive because if your body isn't used to 1 of the antigens, it will view it as something foreign and fight it instead of accepting it.
.
You could kinda think of it like a glass of water. If its pure water with nothing else in it, its like O- and can be used to fill any glass that needs some. But if its got a substance in it such as salt or sugar, it can only help fill any glass that already has salt or sugar. AB+ would be a glass filled with sugar and salt (and.....something else for the 3rd, flour? baking soda?) so it can only fill other AB+ glasses, but it can receive water from any glass since its already got everything.
Another thing to note is its actually the complete opposite for blood PLASMA. AB+ is the universal donor since all the antigens are in the cells, none are in the plasma. O- would be the universal receiver for plasma
For those who need an explanation: AB blood types can receive A, B, O or AB blood if needed. However, because the A and B types are co-dominant, ABs can only donate blood to other ABs. (I.e. If someone was Type A and you donated to them you would also be giving them B blood along with the A blood)
Os can donate to anyone but can only receive type O blood.
Positive and Negative refer to Rh factor which is a type of protein which you either have or you don't. It isn't necessary so negatives can donate to positives, but positives can't donate to negatives because your body would produce antibodies to fight the unknown protein
love you for this correct comment!
also, i see no need for the douchebag joke here. *shrugs* it's not like people with AB are dicks or wouldn't donate blood. They still can and do donate it and then they use that blood for transfusions to patients with AB groups. Plus, since we're at it, for the transfusion to be most effective it's better to give the patient blood of the exactly same type, both AB0 system and Rh system and then there's a bunch of other less known blood factors that play a role in the effectiveness of the treatment. So honestly, why making such a dumb joke?
Absolutely! I'm a blood donor and donating blood is such an easy process (and you get cookies, pizza and juice afterwards :D). More people should do it, especially those who have more rare blood types where it's harder to find a precise match
