Thank god! (Warning long comment). All I'm seeing now is pages saying, "apple is back", or "apples designs are second to none". Let me be the first to say, no. Apple hasn't had "it" since the iPhone 4s, with siri. In terms of there designs, the smart watch isn't even nice enough to beat out rival Samsung, and don't even get me started with comparing it to the moto 360. On top of all this apple has decided to create their own coding language, so that devs will now have to invest time and money into a language only used by one platform. Apple has been behind since 2011 and will continue.

But.. But iPhone is better :(
.
.
That's the only argument you will ever find in favor of apple.
I do have an iPhone. However the reason I do prefer to use an iPhone is because I find it reliable and easy to use. However I do find it unnessesary to upgrade to the newest phone every year. Most phone contracts let you upgrade your phone for an amazing price. I got my 4s (16 gig) about a month after it's release for about $200. I can soon upgrade and plan on getting a 5s. Basically an iPhone is good if you know your way around the market.

You can literally get top of the line smartphones for 0€ in some companies.
We are not talking about that kind of deal, because that is out of the comparision posibilities (too many deals, and you are restricted to that company if you want it).
And as you can see, iPhone would still lose on it.
I bought my 4s shortly after it came out. That meant it was going to cost some money due to the supply-demand, however not as much if I were to buy it with ought the 2-year upgrade deal from my old phone (one of those flip phones) I went on the sprint (my cell provider) website and found prices of the iPhones (5s, 5c, 5). They are all free (the phone itself, not the service fees). The service fees themselves did differ based on the model and storage of the phone. http://m.sprint.com/shop/mobile/shop/phone_wall.jsp?filterString=apple&INTNAV=ATG:HE:iPhones

As i said, companies prices do not count, because it depends on THAT company to give you some offer. We are talking about out of the box, straight from the "creator" devices.
The chargers do, they can burst into flames (mainly the fifth generarion of iPhones), it's very rare, but it happens. I can recall one when I literally got burned from mine while charging. I'm talking about the original ones, not a third party replacement.
