When they don't wear makeup, they get judged on their appearance.
When they do wear makeup, they get judged on their appearance.
Hmm, I wonder why some are so self-conscious.
Well just saying (not trying to start anything) girls get judge by other girls so it make them feel like" if a another girl doesn't like me then why would a guy like me..."
People may have a negative disposition to the comments of certain people, but I thought that this specific case of animosity had worn off a while ago. If enough people care, it can be rectified, but then again, these are just grey numbers.
a girl is allowed to wear makeup if it makes her feel good. other people shouldn't be assholes about it. if someone wants to make themselves look nicer, they'll wear nicer clothes, and make themselves look tidy. if a girl wants to make herself look nicer, she can wear makeup. its their choice, not yours, so maybe you should just accept that.
Honestly, if you want to cake it on go ahead. If you want none, go right head I won't stop ya. But, it does get to a point where excess is too much. Just know though that one day you'll wake up next to a man (or woman) without makeup and s/he will love you all the same. Don't let makeup be what defines you.
People are discriminated against based upon how attractive they are perceived as being. It is literally so much easier to go through life as a lie then to feel the discomfort of being stared at for every imperfection.
I would much rather go through life with people judging me for who I an than ever have them see me for something I'm not. I'm far as hell from perfect and I sure as hell know it but I'll be damned before I let what people think of me dictate who I am and/or who I should be.
So a girl is supposed to look perfect, but when she wears makeup it's "false advertising"? Excuse me, but no. Those who say it's false advertising are pretty much saying they view women as products.
I don't think a girl should be "perfect" and i personally don't want a girl who wears a lot of make up, now i know it makes done people feel better, But in my eyes I don't want a girl that i can barely tell it's her after she takes off her make up.
A girl wants to go all natural, awesome! A girl wants a bit of makeup, awesome! A girl wants to cake on makeup, awesome! It seems to me that guys want to manipulate girls' self worth based on how they choose to present themselves. For all the girls out there, do whatever makes you feel the best about yourselves, if that means caking it on, that's awesome! :)
You do realise though that this girl intentionally posted this online in a place designed to receive comments. She literally asked for comments to be made by posting the photograph. The guys duly commented. Cause and effect. If it had been a random girl on the street then it might have been slightly different.
It looks like a makeup tutorial that she posted where you start without any makeup on and then put makeup on progressively through the video
Obviously she was asking for people to bash her for wearing "too much makeup"
Surely feminism would argue that men have an equal right to comment on the picture as women. Unless of course you mean the type of feminism where women should be treated specially and protected from the big, nasty world.
what?.. no one said MEN could not equally comment on this video. I'm saying its a woman or man's PERSONAL choice to wear make up, everyone else can back off. Shaming some girl on facebook because she wears "to much make up" is pretty pathetic. She can do what the fuck she pleases with her face.
this makes it sound as if girls only wear makeup for boys. dude, I don't wear this to make you like me. I wear it because it makes ME feel better and more confident in myself.
Looking good for myself makes me more confident. From your comment you sound like a dude, a douchebag dude, so I don't expect you to understand that most of what girls do, is for themselves.
I'm pretty sure this particular guest has been commenting on every single comment here trying to make it seem like all girls care about is how boys think of them. Sorry mate, but get your head out of your ass
Stop saying what women should and should not wear. Do you know why women choose to wear makeup? Because men say that they look better with it.... But then they say it's fake. What happens if we don't wear makeup? No one is interested in us. Posts like this aren't helping. If a person is going to love a woman without makeup, he should love her if she wears makeup.
Plus i don't think any of the guys actually said she shouldn't wear that much makeup. They just said it was disappointing that she felt the need to overdo it.
idk man, "False advertising?" I dunno. its your own fault if you really truly believe that my eyelids are fucking gold and glittery crimson, i thought maybe someone would be smart about that....
to quote fucking tumblr "the day i dress for a man, id the day they put me in my coffin to meet jesus" we dont wear makeup for men, we wear makeup for US. I wear makeup because it makes me feel more confident, i dont wear it to "attract males for sex". if i want to wear no makeup, i can, and if i want to fucking cake myself in makeup i can. its not "lying" to men if we wear makeup....tbh, if a man thinks i have naturally flawless skin, and i was born with mascara and lipgloss and eyeliner then they are fucking idiots. rant over.
To everyone who said that makeup is false advertising: Women are not a product. For the most part, we are not trying to sell ourselves to you. (There are of course exceptions.)
Okay lemme clear up some stuff. 1: Girls usually wear makeup for themselves so they feel beautiful, not for others. 2: Never EVER tell a girl she wears too much makeup. I know from experience and it hits harder than you'd ever think. and 3: Don't judge a girl by how much makeup she wears. She could be a really fantastic girl with a great personality, but instead of you getting to know her, you don't talk to her because of her amount of makeup.
When they do wear makeup, they get judged on their appearance.
