Death shouldn't be a bad thing. Its a part of life. Without death there is no living. Yes i know its hard when those die at a young age and your loved ones go, but at least they dont have to suffer the pain we all go through. And if you believe in an afterlife or reincarnation its not so bad. :)
I completely agree, I just wanted to point it out because so many people are afraid of death. But it's not bad at all, it's just a part of the circle of life. If there was no death, the world couldn't function.
I can't in good conscience condemn someone who is trying to protect themselves or someone else. HOWEVER, if it ends up like that Trayvon Martin case, that's about as shitted as fucks can get. THAT is murder because there's no IMMEDIATE AND DIRECT threat. A burglar in your house with a fillet knife IS a threat to yourself and your family and I'm perfectly OK with you calling the cops, then getting a spear, sticking it up his ass, then plant the spear in your yard for all to see while his weight slowly pushes the spear out his chest.

You're absolutely right. However, our legal system is built in such a way that unfortunately, you're actually better off killing the person who threatened you, here's why. They will almost guaranteed lose the initial suit because they're the one who attempted harm, but they will almost certainly countersue for you causing them emotional and physical trauma and then you'll have to pay for medical and rehabilitation bills.
Besides, if your parents or siblings or close friend were mortally threatened, wouldn't you also want to slowly slice all their skin off and sprinkle salty vinegar over them?
