That doesn't really make sense though. I see where you're going with this, but I think the point was "my awesome personality can compensate for my chubbiness". Vice versa that wouldn't make any sense whatsoever. Well, maybe it would for shallow people, but that's all. I see your point, though, and agree that some people would probably get offended if the second one was posted.
I work at a school, and the heavier teachers (and principal) make jokes about how thin I am. I wonder what would happen if I made the jokes in reverse?
Some people pass off their obesity problems as "I'm awesome and that's all that matters," when the truth is obesity is a health matter not a personality trait
It's not like the first post is dissing skinny people. It's just saying, I'm not skinny, but my awesomeness makes up for that. I don't think its intention is to say that skinny people aren't awesome.
I'm sick and tired of everyone thinking that making heavier people feel better by dissing skinny people is the way to go. In Anaconda, Nicki Minaj literally says "fuck you if you're skinny." I know if someone like Taylor Swift said that everyone would say how terrible she is. Its ridiculous
finally, someone gets it. i hear that all the time and i'm naturally really skinny because i have a crazy fast metabolism, and it's so off-putting to hear that kind of stuff because some skinny people just can't help it! everyone should be happy with their body, but they shouldn't get there by insulting others
Hey, don't be mad. I really don't think they meant it to insult, I actually think its kind of a complement. It literally says that being skinny is the basically the same as being awesome. I just thing some people are a little too sensitive about some other forms of hate twords skinny people that they didn't look too closely at what the person was trying to convey.☺
Yeah and just remember that there are skinny people struggling with their weight and when pop culture says that you don't have to look a certain size, they often mistakenly say that being a larger size is better. Nobody should be shamed because you're all perfect!

Maybe we should cut the ties between body image and self esteem
