Actually the last time a guillotine was publicly used, it was on a women in France in 1977. So yeah, creepy.

Fun fact: public executions were an entertaining event for the townsfolk. So your childhood might have actually been pretty good if you saw a lot of these. Unless it was a family member or friend.

aww man that was my favorite thing! nowadays kids are like " guys! lets go my COD" and i'm all like "guys why don't we watch someone get beheaded?" then they just look at me with disgust and back away. forever alone.
