I can't be the only one here who thinks it's a little degrading to assume from birth that a girl will have to rely on the men in her life to protect her
I think the intent was sweet, but if they honestly think that she'll need her brothers to take care of her that's a bit sad. But for all we know they don't think that way at all and just thought it would make a fun picture.
I don't think the message is she can't take care of herself. I think it's "We will take care of her because she's our sister and we got her back." It's not saying anything about what she can't do. I'm an only girl with four brothers as well and I know I can take care of myself but it's nice to know that even if I can't I'll always have someone to be there for me.
I wish people would stop assuming things are sexist.. She's looks like she's only a few months old and it's obvious that the brothers wanna take care of her. This has nothing to do with the fact they're boys, really. It's just a kind gesture to the newborn. Also they're saying that they're going to stand up for her as well, because she is their little sister, and if a bully were to make fun of her or something when she's a few years older and she's like 5, chances are she doesn't know ninjitsu or something and can wreck the bully. The big brothers however would help and scare the bully off. I just wish that people would see things as kind gestures nowadays instead of sexist remarks
Agreed. This is supposed to be a fun site, but it has been taken over by these PC fucktards with nothing else to do but imagine up scenarios where something is sexist (or whatever their pet cause is) so they can appear to be the "good people" without actually doing anything.
You never know how much time you have in this world, so just unclench your b-hole and try to get as many laughs in as you can.
