***We are actually learning how to do this in my Health Science class but we are only going over basic PPO and HMO for 1 week and then it's over :(

We covered all of that in my high school especially the college loan thing.

Taxes aren't that complicated I figured them out.

I learned that in economics which is a required course at my school.

My school focuses more on things like cooking, taking care of little children, cleaning. It's required you take two semesters or you can't graduate.

It might sound stupid, but go to smaller schools. I went to a small school back in high school and I took a financial class which qualified as a math course, we learned about all of these things in a semester, even had a few fun projects, hell, we even learned about how the stock market works. Unfortunately the school has become bigger since I went there and the teachers I visited hate it now :P

I did not learn a single thing of those. But what did they teach us? How to run a milk cow farm. Of all the practical knowledge out there they chose this. And I'm am not even from a rural area.

We have c.s.p.e classes in irish schools (civic , social , political , education )

Pythagorean theorem is the easiest thing there is, though. Then there's shit like functions, advanced equations, mathematical proof, mathematical induction...that's some useless crap right there. And I still don't know what taxes are, either.

Well, I actually learned some of these. There are classes you can take (some required) that are provided by my school. You can even take classes for a field of interest and get certified ti work right out of high school!
