Coke Zero has a male target group, while Diet Coke has a female target group. That's the only difference, a friend told me about this.

The taste is also said to be slightly different (I do not really know because I do not drink either Zero or Diet), but yeah, the main difference is the target. Black can and strong bold typo for young dynamic males, because sexism works both ways.
Coke Zero means they haven't added sugar, there is sugar in one of the substance they use to make Coke, but they usually add more sugar. In Coke Zero, they don't add any sugar, and I guess in diet coke they've replaced sugar with something that tastes like sugar... But also, yeah they created Coke Zero because men wouldn't drink "diet coke"
Aspartame is the sugar substitute which is about as good for you as straight paint thinner and both versions use it.

Ikr? My mum said once "Hey I got you some Coke Zero because I can't handle full strength! Haha" I replied "Thanks, Mum, but you do know that Coke Zero is a lot worse for you because of the awful chemicals?" She looked shocked and said "No, that's not......shut up."
If I so much as breathe aspartame dust I get a three day migraine that not even a hydrocodone can touch. Last time I inadvertently drank something with aspartame in it I ended up in the er on a morphine drip. Now I either make things myself or scour the living crap out of ingredient lists before I'll buy or consume anything.

So you can't have gum either? or do you just look for specific kinds?
Coke zero is made to imitate the taste of normal coke, while still having no sugar. Diet coke (or coke light in europe) has its own taste. That's the difference.
Diet is thought of to be girly and womanish, and they wanted to expand their market to include males, so they made a few changes and made it as Zero so the men fold would drink it. In test markets only women and gay men drank diet. www . huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/10/dr-pepper-ten-no-women-al_n_1003651 . html
Ok so I have a cousin that works for coca cola and I asked him this same question.
So here is the answer when it says NO sugar it means NO sugar. BUT they used a sugar substitute.
NOW if it says ZERO sugar they DID use sugar BUT they used so little the number is less than 1. It actually falls under the 0.9 to 0.1 amount of sugar.
So there you go.
