Life as a POW is hell

This is one of my favorite quotes.

My grandfather was a POW in WW2, we found a bible of his from when he was imprisoned, it was full of signatures from the other inmates in his cell. My mum said that most of the people who signed the bible had died in the camp :(

In history today we got to see and examine some ww2 US soldier gear (jacket, satchel, belt, etc.) except this man was sent to Japan and a clan there gave him a handmade sword with some really neat engravings
