You can do this in Norway too, although you have "regular" school until 10th grade. But you can also choose to not pick a profession yet, and go off to uni after 3 more years.

What if you decide later that you want to do something else? Can you go back to school for it?

My family hosted two girls from Switzerland, and they do that.

We actually have two ways. One option is what is described in the picture (if you want you can also do a "Berufsmatur" so if afterwards you decide to study you are already "allowed" to (not every subject)) The other option is you have 8 or 9 years of school and if you have sufficient grades you proceed (if you want) with the "Gymnasium" where you usually stay for 4 years. Then you can start university. Hope this was interesting for some of you, if not sorry about the long comment :)
