Part of why they're rare is that the other ravens hate them because they're different looking. I guess the parents will either push them out of the nest or pay very little attention to them so many die at a young age.

White ravens aren't rare, they're not albinos either, there's white ravens just like black ravens but when born they're killed by their mother because they're diffrent. If not killed, the are bullied by other ravens so they have to escape and live alone. That's acctually rasist as fuck
