at first I actually kinda cringed, but I immediately thought back to Wonder by RJ Palacio. This girl can have physical issues but can be the smartest kid in her class. And the fact that people say that if you're deformed you're an idiot disgusts me.

Its amazing how far medical technology has progressed. I'm happy for her and her family.

Such a beautiful girl! Reminds me of my niece.. thank God her cleft palate wasn't as severe like your grand daughter.. she is growing up quite well. 22kgs and soon turning 5 years old! :D

My younger cousins had that problem he's been in and out of intensive care for the three years since he was born.

I little cousin had clef lip and palate and you can't tell at all now. And he got all his surgeries for free things to the Shriners.

Thank you for sharing. I was born with a cleft lip in the 80s. I had multiple surgeries and have a scar. I've become so used to it that I completely forget it's there. She's beautiful inside and out.
