I think they need to understand the definition of equality stuff like this just gives a bad reputation for feminists.
in what way is this equality if one person gets better treatment than the other
I like to refer to George Carlin's "Here's a group of people that..." bit.
.
...needs to be smashed repeatedly in the face with a piece of heavy mining equipment.
Ah, joex23, but that stat has been proven incorrect multiple times. The only way you get anywhere close to that is if you disregard factors such as but not limited to: hours worked, education, salary negotiation, job risk, and vacation time taken, and base it solely on average lifetime income of men vs women which is in turn also skewed even more by the fact that there are more male professional athletes and CEOs who's large salaries make it seem like men make more.
It is simple economics. If a business could get away with paying women a quarter less than why wouldn't they solely employ women?
It is an uncomfortable truth that they try desperately to ignore and fail to mention as it undermines thier misandrist position.
.
When you really get down to the brass tacks of the matter and actually make a legitimate comparison to education and experience, that "wage gap" disappeares.
.
The fact of the matter is, is that women are actually now out earning men in some professions in some areas.

so people go "oh thats unfair!!!" then go "oh..." because they then realise how unfair the pay is. There was a whole paragraph at the end of this photo explaining it but someone must have cropped it out to make a point -_-
actually, yes it is. Take a look at the statistics.
Also, I studied English in college and my sentence was correct. lol. But go on about how you're oh so smart lol. I promise I won't laugh ;)
It's not a problem at all, because it not a wage disparity, it an income disparity. Women make less money than men because they do less work than men.
Also felixio is right, the gap is actually smaller than that, something like 82¢ to the $, if I recall correctly.
Well I can see that theres no taking sense into people who refuse to see the truth. lol if it wasnt a problem then it wouldnt be in the spotlight now would it? Anyways, why am I trying to speak to people on funsubstance in the first place lol. Ill just go ahead and move on to something more scholarly haha
But this is demonstrably false. Women take far more maternity leave than men take paternity leave, men have a higher tendency to work over time and/or weekends, men have a higher tendency to take career paths with higher earning potential like sciences and trades, where women have a higher tendency to take less lucrative paths like the liberal arts, and men are much more likely to take jobs that pay more because they are hazardous.
The point is that men will see this and say "that's not fair! Why do we have to pay more?!" to which the feminist will reply "because you get paid more, this reflects wages"
Of course, this only applies to white employees. POC have an even worse treatment and pay
