That's what everything is other than the colours we see. Infrared and ultraviolet light literally mean below red and beyond violet. That's where things like infrared and ultraviolet light come from. They're light, but we can't see it. However we can feel ultraviolet light, which comes from the sun. Everything is just waves moving through the air at different frequencies, and colour is just a small portion of those frequencies.

Yeah, but we don't know what it is in person, very likely it became lighter when the photo was taken.

If they used a flash it would cause some reflections that may alter the color values some.

That's true, photos often can't perfectly represent colours found in nature.

Yep even the best and most expensive cameras cannot get perfection even eyes have flaws in perception.
