Depends on whether they go with a child abuse conviction or go for full tilt murder I would say both so you can double up the punishment, have them spend a few years in jail getting treated to the 'abusers special' and then string them up. I have no respect for anyone who hurts or neglects kids and widely regard them as lower than the scum at the bottom of my septic tank.

It blocks you from getting out of the car wich is supposed to remind you your kid is in the back seat

The fallacy in the design though is if you can't remember that there is a living, breathing child you created in the backseat, are you really going to remember to attach a rubber band string to your car door?
