Can I at least expect not to be mocked, ridiculed and taken advantage of for doing nice things and still be the nice guy?

Nope, all nice people get mocked and taken advantage of, which is exactly why I'm not nice anymore.

Why do you guys get downvoted? It's really awful to do everything for everyone and still be treated like trash. You are only a douche if you expect more in return than you gave.

That's why I stopped, last person I helped I did 12 hours of extremely difficult work never once complained or ask for anything even payment and all they did the whole time was whine and criticize. I have no issues helping somebody but if I'm providing a service that saves somebody thousands of dollars the least they can do is shut up and let me do the work, besides they wanted me to cut corners on the work that would have been dangerous.

Can I at least expect from the person to remember me and at least not say that "those school was full of terrible people, which were bullying me" even if I and few other people were nice to that person?
