Or when young teens have been dating for only 2 weeks and they're like "I love you so much, I've never been happier in my life, you are my soulmate!!!!"
actually they just didn't make many other experiences so they have nothing to compare their situation to, they really feel that way, the moment tastes like eternity. everyone was a teenager once and exaggerated a bit, i think it's mostly just fine. let them be happy.
Whatever. Let them have their moment and their feelings! It's cute.
When a 3 year old turn to his Mom and says "I love my mom and I will be with her forever!" we don't berate that, eventhough we all know things will change.
Let them all feel what they feel.
Well that's your opinion. Considering I'm fairly close to that age I understand the way you feel. When young kids take it too far with love it's gets a little outa hand. But feelings don't have an age limit.
3 year olds: " oh they're dating ? Aww cute. I wonder if they'll get married. "
12 year olds: " you're too young to love, you shouldn't be dating "
At least 17/18: " oh you're dating ? Okay. "
I'm 24 and to be honest, 16/17 year olds do the same thing. Like someone above said, let them be young. How is it affecting you at all? I remember being young and thinking I'd met "the one". It's harmless and shouldn't bother you at all.
Up above they said a couple years older than 12

I just wanna hand them the book and let them read it.
But it was also the 60's and the culture was much different
