Turns out that this is old news... it happened almost two years ago. However, the research I was able to do indicates that it's a bit more than a simple assault charge for her.

She was arrested on assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage charges. It turns out that she was the one that called 911 and claimed her boyfreind was beating her. She faces the additional charges of filing false statement and lying to the responding officers.

Additionally, she's an Iraq war vet and an officer. Hopefully the judge took that into consideration, in that more should be expected from the discipline of a soldier, ESPECIALLY an officer.
It makes you wonder how often the police or just society accept a woman's story of abuse when she's the one that actually did it, but the guy didn't record it.
