No where in the post did it say that. It's just referring to the fact that if someone is so horrible to another person that they feel the only way out is death they need to serve punishment.

I agree jackee, at the least Community Service. If you degrade someone to the point where they kill themselves I feel that should be involuntary manslaughter.
If enough witnesses confess and there is evidence, I think you can convict a bully on the point of reason for someone elses death, atleast in Sweden, I think.
It would be hard to get any legal evidence that would stand up in court, though. There would be too many "he said/she said" stories, hearsay, and corrupt witnesses. It'd be unlikely you'd get actual justice.
Suicide is not selfish. I'm sorry to say. Sometimes people hurt so much they think the only way out is to take their own lives, maybe they weren't thinking about the pain they would cause anyone else but I dare you to look into the eyes of a someone who lost a child, friend, brother, sister, parent and tell them that their loved one was selfish. I don't agree with or condone suicide but there's a problem if someone is being bullied to the point where they think the only option is suicide, if someone is hurting that bad. I've been in that position. All that runs through your mind is that you're worthless and the world would be better without you.
I haz a question.
Do you think you're worthless and the world would be better without you, or you're really angry and you want to get back at the world by denying it your presence?
I think being a bully also is some kind of self-destruction. Why don't we have support systems and programs for "bullies"? Its just something that has been boggling my mind lately
Interesting off topic fact: The reason we say "commit suicide" is because awhile back before depression was understood you could be charged with committing a crime if you tried to kill yourself.
actually...
Attempting and committing suicide has to be a crime. Police can't break and enter property unless there's a crime in progress, so suicide must be considered a crime for police to be able to smash down the doors and help out. Even though it may be considered premeditated murder, I don't think the state will prosecute because who the hell would charge a suicidee on this basis?
So I looked it up and I found this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_legislation
and it appears that most it is not a crime to commit suicide but it is a crime to assist someone else in it. Whether it is telling them how to do it or knowingly giving them supplies to do it. Interestingly in Scotland it is only a crime if you do it publicly (for example make a suicide threat in a public place).
Everyone does something for a reason-
Sometimes, people bully because they don't know what to do.
They're lost, and confused, and they want attention-
I don't think someone should be in jail for that.
Also, it is up to the victim to report them.
No one will help them if they do not know who to help.
And you can blame whoever you want, but at the end of the day, suicide, in itself is down to personal weakness, even if only for a moment. It's always the victims decision to end their own life
As much as I don't like your opinion, I agree with you. I know that depression isn't a decision but suicide feels very much like a decision; it's a physical action as opposed to a mindset/mentality.

Nobody kills "because they don't know what to do". I'm bored half my life and I haven't killed anyone yet.

Victims don't want to report the bullies because they fear retaliation. Despite the ever so popular "no tolerance stance" on bullying, how often do you actually hear of bullies being reported AND being kicked out (or severely disciplined)? More often than not the teachers or authorities will have you two sit down and "settle your differences" with words. The only scenario in which this will help is if it's an unintentional bout of bullying; someone being insensitive and they aren't aware of it. I'm often unaware what my mouth spews out so whenever I meet someone new I tell them to slap me or tell me to shut up if I've genuinely offended and hurt them because I will never mean to verbally hurt anyone.
Any other scene (the bully is aware and/or desires to inflict pain) words will only make them angrier and more careful about how they go about their business.
excuse me?
okay, let's just assume that most people who are suicidal have depression. do you know what depression is? it's a mental illness. it physically affects your brain and the way you think, alright? it's just as valid as a physical injury.
bullying someone with depression/who is suicidal is like if you kicked a person's broken leg, and then were surprised when it got worse.

as far as im aware
