Also, the bad guys seem to enjoy killing little girls while forcing their young boys to kill for a cause they may not understand.
Assuming the kids aren't being used as human shields, that is.
But do you agree that the old woman had every right to be as short (and had justification to be ruder) because of rift between her experience and the protester's lack of?
Nope. No way they could have known each other's experiences. We need to be more understanding of each other, especially if we want others to be more understanding of us.
"evils of America" is such a bullshit and one-sided topic, which probably contains lots of unbackable anecdotal and/or biased evidence. If you want to make a point, use a clear and pointed title, directly related to the subject at hand. For example, "American interference in the Middle East is bad" or if you want something shorter "Innocents are dying". It's like Westboro Baptist saying that "God hates fags" (misquoted from some bible passage with a barely passing relation to homosexuality). Fag never appears in the Bible, use quotes properly. If you want to make a point, don't use colloquial language, use exact and descriptive words which can't be turned back on you to defeat your argument. I've had discussions with my friends where we've systemically destroyed WBC's arguments solely on the basis of their wording, then their topic, then their evidence, ect. Almost nothing they say can be properly substantiated, and neither can anything with such a vague topic as "evils of America".
Undoubtedly, we are pretty screwed up in most of our policies, possibly for the reason that we have so many interest groups that we can't hope to satisfy half of them. But do you agree that a more substantive protest-topic and more proper word choice by the protester would have better made their point, regardless of validity?
"Case closed, you're wrong."
The post doesn't say anything about the cold war, and the regimes of small far eastern countries were no actual threat, so no.
No one ever said the military men and women were corrupted. When people talk about America being evil they mean the lies the government gives the military and American citizens, that's it people mean the corruption and evilness in the government. Although some INDIVIDUAL people in the military aren't good people and do horrendous acts to the people they're supposed to be helping, other than that no one ever said the military was evil.
Interesting how this elderly woman managed to have a father, husband, and son all of proper age to be in a war in a 34 year time span. Something about the timing of the story is a little off, but I guess it could happen.
I just love it when posts like these crawl their way out of some kids backlog of information they have stored on an external marked "Injustices of the World". If you were more forward thinking regarding anything that dribbles from the gaping hole in your face, you would know that life isn't fair. No one truly knows about another. But let's skip that for now and get to the true meat of this wall of text:
Utter bullshit. Forgive the Americanized slang used my myself, because, simply, it explains the current topic. The Iraquies that were gathering to protest outside of the local Walmart (seeing as it's the biggest chain around I'm only assuming here) they are utilizing their 1st amendment right. Good on them, besides the fact they are handing out printed plastic sheets of falicies all the while forcing their own opinions on anyone that walks within 5 feet. I won't sugarcoat it cupcake, America has done evil. Things no one will admit to because there's not a jail big enough.
But in no way am I saying that America as a whole is evil. The sole reason we went to the Middle East, was vengeance. A certain few decided to take out some of us. We got hit in the gut, so we went for some good old American payback. And what does every large group do to a small sect. We demolish. Demolish them to the point where we use their bones as a foundation for black top. We de-throned a dictator who took our property for the sake of being called an "ally", directly used that small arsenal against us, then cowered in his house thinking he was untouchable.
Which in the end, that proved to fail just as terribly as you'd think. For those that say that "they won't honor anyone's sacrifice" is not only a horrible human being, but you are indirectly punishing a 18 year old kid for doing what he's told. He may not be defending an invasion fleet from coming to the states, but you can dam well bet he's sure as shit not killing off innocence over their.
As in all wars, mistakes happen. Citizens who want no part in anything to do between the rival forces getting caught in the middle all because their dwelling happened to be right there. That's life son, shit happens.
I respect that they fought and died, but they did so for an ideal. This ideal is not our country, and to fix pur problems, first they must be recognised.
A common mistake is that these people father, husband, son, died for anything other than bankers profits. I feel sympathy for the millions duped into the trenches but I won't honour the sacrifice someone made of them.
I know the economy is tough in America and without a trust fund or an Ivy League certificate you're either going to greet at Walmart or die killing poor people in another country. But you've always got a choice! If every poor person refused to kill other poor people the wealthy would run out of things to eat.
Assuming the kids aren't being used as human shields, that is.
>implying the US is devoid of flaws
>implying that old lady wasn't a dick
