British English vs. American English

Hey, all of these are accurate for me, but I too use Santa Claus as well as Father Christmas. I'm British, but you can't go taking Santa off me like this

A number of these are wrong (although to be fair, America has a wide variety of accents and vocabulary)
Americans say both "bill" and "check"
Americans say "curtains" not "drapes" (on average, at least)
"Ground floor" and "first floor" are interchangeable in America

This made me think a lot about doctor who...

"cookie" is so disturbing, for me a cookie is a biscuit with chocolate chips, not every biscuit in the world

we also say autumn.
and caravan.

A few of the British ones are pretty common in the southeastern US.

Australia is a bit of both

Dont you call flashlights torches too? Coming from an american

In NZ it's chips and chips. Both are chips. Occasionally you might say hot chips. Sometimes it's confusing.

nah it's still curtains in the U.S.

Don't American's also say "sidewalk." instead of pavement.

So I made my Siri a British guy and every time I say mom or mommy it corrects it to mummy, but only when Siri is actuvated

I say a lot of these and I'm American
